“I’ll be the first to tell you. We had third and a long two down there, and I had a poor call," Albin said. "I ran right at a Tennessee, SEC defense. We ran one of our best running plays right at them, and they stuffed us. My play-calling down there a couple times ... not good. I think that Tennessee had some things to do with that, but Tennessee didn’t have anything to do with Texas State –– and those stats are in there.”

After the press conference with Frank earlier in the week, I'm not surprised.

There is too much of this Frank is our pal but the offense stinks so we'll scapegoat Albin who directly works for Frank as a way to keep the HC up on pedestal. Albin is admitting he can't call plays and Frank said Texas State was the coache's fault. We are beyond the point where the emperor has clothes. 12 years and no MACC. Best season was 10 wins in 2011 (year 7) and most in the 6-8 win range. Anyone who thinks this staff is optimal for Ohio has their head in the sand.

If he was referring to Mr. Negative, I have it on good authority that he is taking a short break from BA. Perhaps, he needs to spend time reading his dictionary and thesaurus looking for more synonyms for "mediocre,""conservative," and "honk."

Well then, maybe I whiffed. I'm not a member of the "inner circle."

Lets see if Solich and Albin can make adjustments. We have decreased our penalties and our db's have decreased their cushions. Albin needs to add some wrinkles, we need to get Cope some deep balls (no pun intended). We need to get Papi some wheel routs and reverses. If they cannot make adjustment, we have reached our ceiling. I think that they have been spot on in identifying the problems. Go Bobcats

'Cats have spent a lot of quality practice time on red zone play execution this week. Although limited by the injuries to the running backs, I have seen some new "wrinkles" being added to take advantage of the strengths of the players we will have available. It is not always the X's and the O's, it's the Jimmy's and the Joe's when you get close to pay-dirt ! Hopefully the extra work and some new "looks" will pay off with more T.D's in the weeks to come.

I guess they could try someone new at RB, for short yardage situation, like say, backup MLB Cody Grillot (6'0", 240).

I am one of the long term football fans at BA. The fact is that we now have consistency now with this staff.

I am aware of the MACC drought but things can change very quickly.

Back in the 90's my prayer was that some year during my lifetime we would win 7 games!

We are the envy of most MAC football programs with program stability and fan support.

I hope that this staff can get us a MACC, perhaps this year.

Ohio's offense is #27 in the country in yards per game -- ahead of Alabama, Memphis (who just laid 77 on BG) and Michigan.

A lot of people on here need to read the book "Good to Great" and see if they feel differently about where Ohio football is headed.
