This game worries me a lot. Our defensive backfield is very suspect and I'm afraid that Billy Bahl will have a career day, especially if we can't run the ball and keep possession.

Is this game at 2:00 or 2:30? Everywhere on our official site, it reads 2:00. Russ even said in yesterday's recap it will start at 2:00. Miami's site and ESPN both say 2:30.

And miamihawktalk is dead. Here's their new message board, which is in perpetual beta mode: http://test.miamihawktalk.com/talk/discussions

The ticket I bought from OHIO Athletics says 2:00. Bunch of other places say 2:30 - this is Really confusing..........

their half done beta board is a depressingly accurate reflection of the state of Miami athletics.

Les Miles has no offensive innovation. They get top ten QB after QB and still can't scoreor throw the ball. If we make a change, it should be for somebody who can spread people out and pound people.

If the boys in Oxford have pride, I think we are definitely going to be facing a cornered, wounded animal on Saturday that is going to scratch and claw with everything they have. Then again, maybe they are dejected too much and we administer their worst loss of the year. They played Western Kentucky and UC really tough and those are two good teams.

If this game was in Athens and/or we had a full healthy stable of running backs I would like our chances with a strong, comfortable victory. But I think we can win this game but it will be a scratch and claw, 4 quarter effort.

Want to with the MAC East boys? It starts on Saturday!

The story from the G-W game on the Ohio website says 2:30: http://www.ohiobobcats.com/sports/m-footbl/recaps/092416a...

The schedule now does, too: http://www.ohiobobcats.com/sports/m-footbl/sched/ohio-m-f...

I'm sort of glad. My son has a road JV game that starts at 10 a.m. and probably won't be done until after noon, so I could use the extra half-hour.

One other concern: Since this is on TWC's sports channel, will it be blacked out on ESPN3 in TWCland?

My situation is the opposite, Pataskala.

My daughter's Newark soccer team plays at Watkins Memorial (your backyard?) Saturday evening. A later start (2:30) means a more likely chance I'll have to leave for Pataskala before the Ohio-Miami game has ended.

This is a must win game. Based on their play so far this year, the top three competitors for the East would seem to be Ohio, Akron, and Miami. A 6-2 record or better will most likely win the East this year. Considering that Ohio will be a heavy underdog at both Toledo and CMU, a loss here would put Ohio in a situation where they have a much harder road to the East Championship.

Go Bobcats.

They came back from down 28-0 on the road to an ACC team with their backs against the wall and tied it up. How exactly is that a disaster?

Rush will torch Ohio's secondary if he has time to throw.

I'm not sure they get top 10 QBs year after year but they definitely get the top 10 surrounding talent. Miles would be an excellent recruiter for sure.

I watched part of that game before I left for the OHIO game. I had the impression that CMU walked on that field with the idea that this game would be an easy win. Kind of like our attitude against Tx St. It took them a long time to wake up. On the other hand, Virginia looked really jacked up. They were jumping all over on the sidelines and high-fiving each other on nearly every positive play. College kids are funny. They can get big heads very quickly. After they beat a ranked OSU-Southern Campus I think they thought a game against a winless Virginia was no big deal. They had a rude awakening.

Which is exactly what makes college football great. Nobody knows what an 18-22 year old kid is gonna do on a Saturday afternoon. Nobody knows if their mind is right. That's why you get results like Duke over Notre Dame for no reason whatsoever.

This game scares the crap out of me. I think it will be a dog fight and if we walk out with a 1 point win I will be happy.

Hope it works out for you. I think it's the only Saturday home soccer game for Watkins that's played at night.

Coach Solich used typical coach speak to the press. Lots of respect for Miami.

Miami vs Cinn. TFLs

Miami 4 TFLs/87 offensive plays by Cinn. 4/87 = 4.6% of the time Miami produced a TFL.

Cinn 8 TFLs/54 offensive plays by Miami. 8/54 = 14.8% of the time Miami allowed a TFL.

Ohio Season 31 TFLs/270 offensive plays by opponent. 31/270 = 11.5% of the time Ohio produced a TFL.

Miami Season 19 TFLs/274 offensive plays by opponent. 19/274 = 6.9% of the time Miami produced a TFL.

Ohio Opponent Season 26 TFLs/349 offensive plays by Ohio. 26/349 = 7.4% of the time Ohio allowed a TFL.

Miami Opponent Season 27 TFLs/268 offensive plays by Miami. 27/268 = 10.1% of the time Miami allowed a TFL.

I think Irons, White and Hardy will all suite up for this game at RB.

Experience tells me it is pretty hard to believe much of the info coming out of Peden during Miami week.
