I'm not disagreeing with you on not using injuries as an excuse. I'm calling out your statement that injuries don't effect how you do things. That is absurd. What you should have said is injuries to key players often change the way a team needs to play. Sometimes teams can adjust. Sometimes the hill is too high. But good teams and good coaches more often than not find a way....at least some degree. We traditionally have not (compared to others). This year I think we have.
