Yes, he was signed but didn't qualify. One of like three players who didn't qualify out of that class.

Couldnt qualify after a private school education, just saying, go public schools.

Apparently Toledo takes partial qualifiers, while Ohio does not. He didn't qualify, but was able to enroll at Toledo and earn eligibility by getting good enough grades at Toledo. Ohio sends non-qualifiers to JUCO.
