I know most dont see us winning the game but I have a feeling we win tonight. We need to establish the run early with Brown and Irons. Use Papi on some jet motion to bring Toledo safeties up and hit them with play action to Reid and Sebastian. I hope we can control the clock for 35+ minutes as well and keep the ball out of Toledos hands. We lead the MAC in pass rushing so Toledo will be getting the ball out quick tonight. Our defense has held its own against the rushing attack. Not even Tennessee's Dobbs, Kamara, and Heard had 100 on us. I know Swanson and Hunt are one of the best duo backfields around but I have a feeling our defense is going to shine again tonight. I would like to see the defense mix it up with a corner blitz from the boundary and a old-school FS blitz with Mr. Hagan like Mike Mitchell use to do back in the day. And maybe some Tampa 2 because Mr Poling can pick passes in that deep middle spot on coverage. Good luck to the guys tonight and go Cats!

I would have given us a better chance if we weren't without our starting DBs for this game against such a good offensive team.

For Ohio to win:

No turnovers
Three drives of at least 8 minutes that all end in TDs
Hold Toledo to under 100 rushing.

Are you coaching somewhere Mr. Maxwell? If not you should give it a shot. You called this one, down to the corner blitz that ended the game.

Playing against these guys in the MAC the systems really stay the same. So as a player, you kind of know what you need to accomplish to get the win...executing it is the difficult task. Im happy we switched it up and gave different looks though. I still believe Toledo beats Western and we see them again. Weird feeling!

I kind of have a weird feeling like that, also. I'd almost rather play Western, as it is hard to beat the same time twice in the same season. I cliche, but it seems more often true than not.

Toledo I feel watched game tapes of past Ohio implosions and tried to go for the first quarter knockout. The team was able to withstand the barrage and go the distance. No 3 and out's down the stretch which had plagued the team in other MAC games.

I'd rather play Toledo again because you've beat them at their place. You have a mental edge going into Ford Field. Plus it becomes a neutral site game although Toledo is closer. You've played against these guys, you've seen what they can do and chances are a 98 yarder wont happen again. Playing a team you haven't played like WMU, who is playing their best ball with more motivation to win than Toledo...I'd rather play Toledo.

So, that was a big oh-fer. I'll take it anyway. We won the turnover battle, we found some semblance of a quick-strike offense whilst also running the ball as though possessed, and we performed quite admirably against the run. Overall and with some huge, timely stops.
