I'm kind of torn on this because Windham began the year better than I ever imagined. Doing well against Texas State is one thing, but he had really good game against Tennessee also. He just wasn't the same after that, though. Maxwell obviously was the much better QB in the EMU game, but one game is a small sample. Maxwell was sub-par against Kent State, though the Golden Flashes do play pretty good defense. As a whole, I think Windham has shown the best, and the overall numbers support that, but it's been a while since he's played his best. I sort of don't know which is the true Windham.
Just a thought but maybe there's a correlation between Windham's being at his best and the offense's health. At the beginning of the year Windham was at his best when Ohio's running game was at its healthiest and deepest. 3-4 inactive running backs later, opposing defenses didn't have to worry about stopping Ohio's running game and could key on Windham and the wide receivers. Seriously, just a theory; I could be wrong.
