...for only scheduling one FCS school the next four years.

Wish Ohio would look to this philosophy. I also understand that EMU is broke and need the money from payday games.

I have to say, I'd be happy to see Ohio playing UK 3 of the next five years. That's a good solid game, and one fans from both could travel to.

They have Army on the docket. Would love for us to schedule any of the service academies. Have we ever?

Played Army in 1996. Lost 37-20. Was good Army team that went 10-2 and beat Navy.

Never played Navy or Air Force.

South Carolina paid UMass $1.5M to play them in football this year, we need to call the Gamecocks.

We need to change the conversation about such things. SC is not paying UMass to play football. SC is paying Umass NOT to have to play them at their stadium. The payment is in lieu of the return game.

You'd rather give up a home game and play 5 game home schedules with 7 on the road? That's certainly possible, but I wonder how the Athens business community would feel about it, given that home games have been estimated to bring 1/2 million dollars or so into the Athens economy.

Note that you can replace the home FCS game with a home-away series, and get 5 1/2 games a year, or with a paid road game, and get 5 home games a year. EMU seems you have done a mix. As you'd expect, they will have 6 home games the year where they have the FCS game. For the three seasons with no FCS game, they will have six one of the them, and fine home games twice, so they are at 5 1/3 home games when not playing an FCS team.
