This totally ridiculous, our over-the-hill has-been coach ekes out a victory in the Glass Bowl and totally embarrasses all knowledgeable football fans by punting in the fourth Qt. and using the clock to win. This is more of that conservative, Republican thinking that's brought us crushing loss after crushing loss against the best teams in the MAC for the last four seasons and no MACC in 11+ years. Frank should have been having Maxwell throw bombs on that last drive so Ohio could have had convincing victory based on excellent offensive performance instead of relying on using the clock to win by such a small and almost meaningless margin.

Now, the SIG folks are going to claim that this is a great victory, but me and my growing number of acolytes on BA we know better. This is just another example of really poor coaching by a coach that's worse than being Republican. Solich is a dam Whig! He should go back to the 19th Century where he belongs.

We need a bright young coach who will put in an imaginative offense with three-back sets and five-wide receivers at the same time. Did you see how Brown got stuffed on that last series. They knew the play before we ran it. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

Time for some of my enlightened BA buddies to hang the coach in effigy on the College Green this evening. This conservnative, whiggish football has got to STOP!

We beat the second best MAC West team on the road, glad we got it done, but let's not spike the football yet. Let's not think that this the best that we can do. Go Cats

Yeah, when that ball was spiked by Toledo among the first things I thought was all us posters on bobcatattack are going to have to put away the pitch forks and fires for another week.

Great win. Great win....

allen, I agree that we can't be "spiking the ball" just yet after this great win, but I do believe that in college athletics you do need to celebrate when you reach certain goals and you should be happy with your coaches and teammates like that locker room was last night. These kids and coaches have had to deal with a number of key injuries to teammates but they have hung together and continued to improve week by week. Unfortunately, Windham is one more guy down, but we must overcome this also. That is what good teams must do, and our coaches know how to help make that happen. Don't think for a minute that these kids have not been hearing the funeral music that some of our so called "Bobcat Fans" have been broadcasting or posting. They are as sick and tired of it, as most of us are, for having to listen to people or read posts from people who have no idea whether a football is stuffed or blown up ! Enjoy this win over a very good team, and then focus on Buffalo. The Buffs are very capable of coming into our house and beating us like they just beat Akron if we are not ready to produce our best effort.
Guess what, our coaches understand this to be true, and by next Thursday night our team will share that mindset . Does that mean we will win that game ? No, it does not. If we can prepare for Buffalo like we did for Toledo, then we will have the opportunity to fight for another "W". This is what college athletics is all about folks!

This part in particular: "but I do believe that in college athletics you do need to celebrate when you reach certain goals and you should be happy with your coaches and teammates like that locker room was last night."

I agree, we just can't lose our focus and think that we have already climbed our highest mountain. A part of any plan is to create short term wins and celebrate them. Every year, this teams they can win the MAC, this is the year to really believe. The coaches have evolved and the players are ready.
