I speak for all people who have ever played, coached, or watched a football game. Not one of them thinks it's a good idea for a defender to over-celebrate a play where you get burned and the receiver drops the ball. You just got burned for a would be TD. Guy... don't celebrate. Guy... seriously, it's silly to celebrate that. And it happens a lot... guy. Get a grip. And I'm not singling anyone out, but it might be damn simple to see who does it if you watch a game. So for you to say I'm singling people out, you are a buffoon. I'm just saying watch the damn game. And for the guys (who I am pulling for to do the right thing)... you guys just act like Toran. OK? Can you do that?

Since we are talking about humility and class... the guy in the NFL who most epitomizes this is Antonio Gates. He is a sure Hall of Famer who always just picks his big bad self off the ground and goes back to the huddle.

And Tim Duncan. Wow, first class.

So Mr. True Fan. Yes, I know class when I see it. Does it make me a bed person to want my team (Ohio U) to exude classs? No, it does not make me a bad person. And it does not make you a bad person to want these players to show whatever type of emotion is in their bodies. Whether it looks silly or not, you are right. They are allowed to have passion and do whatever stuff they want, good or bad, smart or silly. If that's your take on it... good for you... guy.

I'm sorry, you're mistaking this for a conversation, but I'm done talking....but since we're singling people out, starting to wonder if you're a fan, or a secret admirer. You have your opinion, and I have mine.....I never questioned your opinion, just the manner in which you expressed it. Which in my opinion is classless.....

You can always find ONE exception to the rule but I still think they are a bit small by NFL standards.
The only starter that I would consider small for the NFL would be Moore at only 6' and 215lbs. Brown at 6' 240 and Poling at 6' 235 are the same size as a number of NFL LBs. The only LB spot that needs to be 6'3" 250+ is the rushing OLB in a 3-4.

Just looking at the NFC East, the starting LBs (none 3-4 pass rushers" are as follows:

Redskins:

Compton - 6'1" 238
Foster - 6'1" 250

Eagles:

Kendricks - 6'0" 240
Hicks - 6'1" 235
Bradham 6'2" 241

Giants:

Casillas - 6'1" 228
Robinson - 6'3" 238
Kennard - 6'3" 251

Cowboys:

Lee - 6'1" 238
Hitchens 6'0" 235
Durant 6'1" 230

The smaller, faster LB is becoming the norm in the NFL as teams have started throwing the ball more.

The MAC averages 8 guys drafted by NFL per year. Not all make teams. And not all guys who make teams are drafted.

So, thinking that we have 4-7 guys who are going to play in the NFL makes sense?

Yes, they'll get looked at. Tryouts and such.

But get serious.

Also, watch an NFL game for 10 minutes. Those guys are total freaks--incredible size, speed, athleticism.

If we have a number of guys like that on our team, how come in the weak weak MAC we're always middle of the pack and no title?

Rail at me if you want for the above analysis. But based on history, prove to me that such thinking is wrong.
