D line played well. They were constantly held.

yes there were some blatant tackles that were not called. We need to get some healthy cornerbacks.

Bobcat28...this is our worse team since 2008?? Are you serious??? You need to follow another sport because you have proven you football I.Q. will easily fit in a puppy carry purse available in the California pet market!
While early season injuries slowed the development of our running backs, and lately the injury bug has hit the young defensive backfield, I still can't see that this is our worst team since 2008. We are down to one QB that has taken any snaps this year, so that could make things worse...but hopefully "Q" will continue to improve. Just can't agree with your "ranking" of this team!

The offense looked horrible in the first half. Bobcat 28 was not the only one. It's not time to spike the football yet, we need to continue to build.

Hmmm. I like it. We almost played a complete game. Slow start on offense, but once both sides of the ball got going, the team looked pretty !@#$ good. This bodes well for the good guys.

That was a really great win and I haven't enjoyed a Bobcat win this much since the Independence Bowl when we rolled a good La. Monroe team. It just feels good. It was like beating Syracuse the year after the wilderness campaign in basketball in the late 90s.

I guess I'll just stop trying to figure things out. I hope this is a springboard for things to come. We've shown we can beat a good team, and that is huge, but we've got some injury problems and would really benefit from a non-existent bye-week. Buffalo has found some life and while the offense made some plays tonight, I don't think all our problems are solved. I think Q played like a freshman tonight but made some nice throws in the second half when we needed him to. The bullet to Reid to pick up a first down and the sideline throw to SS to pick up another were really clutch throws. Let's see more of that. For a guy that started 0-8, his numbers ended pretty respectable.

Oh, and Dorian. effing. Brown. Wow.

I thought our D could keep this game close, but if you would have told me we were going to put up 31 in this house of horrors, I'd-a checked both legs to see which one was being pulled (Annie Wilkes, "Misery"). Great Game CATS. I'm glad to be wrong on this one.

Wow. Awesome win for my first visit to the glass bowl. I still think we have more upside than this. Some played up to their potential but I still think Maxwell has a lot more upside left. Get well Greg Windham. We'll need two QBs to finish the season strong. Keep playing hard Bobcats.

Fantastic win and really could establish an identity for this team with what they did in the ground game.

The call the offensive coaches made to throw on 3rd and 6 instead of running the ball with a little over 3 minutes left was the play of the game.

If you play that conservative and run the ball there, get stopped then Toledo doesn't use it's last timeout. They get the ball with a little over 2 minutes left with a timeout and can relax just a little bit instead of having to press.

Maxwell made a big boy throw and got the completion to Smith, then they took another full 2 minutes off the clock before Toledo go the ball back with no timeouts. HUGE sequence.

Windham with the GAME BALL and another given to the Staff for bringing him in when they did! (And another to Farcas for the punting display)

He provided the needed ignition with big plays and the bench time for Maxwell to digest what he needed to do.

At the Bobcat Caravan in Cleveland, I asked Coach Solich to finally whip Toledo. So nice to see them ALL deliver!!

Since some say we do not complement the opponent--Wow, what Quick Scoring Capabilities The Rockets are able to produce and glad they didn't get one on their first possession last night.

Great point and I thought the same thing! I thought that was THE play of the game, at least for me. I thought if Ohio failed to convert, Toledo would get the ball and score a TD given how Toledo sliced through Ohio their previous drive. If Ohio makes the 1st down, that would almost be game over. BIG TIME throw there! Only a QB with kahunas makes that throw.

Funny thing, the color commentary guy on the CBS Sports broadcast said Ohio should have ran it and forced Toledo to use their last timeout. And I'm thinking: this guy can't be serious? If Ohio runs the ball there they're pretty much handing the keys to Toledo for a victory.

Had their been less than two minutes or one minute, I understand that logic. But not when there is still plenty of time on the clock. And even after Ohio got the first down, Toledo still had a chance! They got to midfield with 40 seconds left.

We can't compete with the top tier of the MAC West this year. With a RS Frosh QB at the helm, another 7-5 year with a bowl trip is our best hope. I hope I'm wrong but haven't seen anything this year to suggest otherwise.

I completely agree. After Toledo scored, I was certain we would go three and out leaving Toledo with a timeout and 2+ minutes left to score. In which case they would march down the field and we lose. Hats off to the Cats. A great win!

On a side note I thought the CBS Sports Network coverage was much better than the usual ESPN coverage when they spend the whole game talking about the upcoming P5 games. Also, they actually talked about the game and the MAC in the post game show.

Absolutely.

I'll say that the quality of the pirated stream was much better too. Very little lag or sound issues.

It was a great win and I'm ecstatic dont get me wrong. Toledo played its worst game since 2013 and we took advantage. Hopefully we can continue to improve and string together more than a few good quarters of football moving forward. The team on the field is what the team is, injuries included. I dont think anyone would be surprised if we win the next 3 or lose the next 3. We have had some decent teams since 08. I dont think this team would beat any of the teams from 09-12, or 15. We would probably go 1-1 against the 13-14 teams.

Great win! I certainly had my doubts going into the game and was glad to be proven wrong. This is one of those stick your chest out a bit victories. Beating a team like Kent is TCB. Not this-will live off the high until the next game.

Probably the most significant MAC win in a long time considering the caliber of opponent and our historic struggles against them-especially in the Glass Bowl. Heck it was our first win in a good while in Northwest Ohio period. I believe the Rockets were the only team Frank had not yet defeated (has multiple wins against just about every other program sans Central maybe?). I am sure he is glad to get that monkey off his back-I'm happy for him at least.

As much as I enjoy this win, I'm going to be greedy and ask for more of the same next week and really take it to Buffalo. They will be riding high from that hurt they laid on Zippy. Time to knock them back down to earth and issue a little pay back. Hope what they did to the Cats last year is as fresh in the players minds as it is mine.

The sour taste from that Eastern loss is still in my mouth (although a lot more diluted right now) but a part of me thinks that maybe the players were motivated by their performance in that game (and maybe Kent to an extent) to give their best and then some last night. Had they rolled in undefeated in MAC play maybe they wouldn't have been as hungry?

Something else that is kind of exciting to think about? Akron gets to come home and lick their wounds in time for a ticked off Toledo team to roll into InfoCision! They also get a plucky BG team who could pull off a win against them. I think they do no better than 1-1 in their upcoming homestand.

Go Cats! Sweep the mammals that remain on your schedule!

Law of averages prediction: I'm feeling good about this game. Ohio will get it together--offense/defense/special teams. Injuries seem to be improving. Backups are gaining experience. I really like Brown at tailback. Sebastian Smith as WR is world class. Blair Brown takes his criticisms but he's plays with purpose. Papi White makes things happen. I probably lean toward Windham as the QB to start against Toledo. He's more dangerous on his feet. His throws are decent. Hoping he's improving his slants.

I did notice Hardy drew two personal fouls last week. He's another committed player I want to see on the field.

I'll go out on a limb and predict a nail-biting Bobcat win: 21-20.
Give that man a ribbon! LOL! Bonus: My prediction was spot-on late in the third quarter. [Should've bought a lottery ticket.]

Totally agree with this. Refreshing and surprising. Also a bonus to see all four prognosticators proven wrong. Manna from heaven!
