In year's past our team would crumble down the stretch due to injuries and excuses. This year, it is the opposite. Think about how you, the fan, thought of OUr team in the spring/summer: Sprague at QB, AJ as the featured back. Brendan Cope going long. Langston Provitt returning at corner. We thought we had a decent group of D-linemen. We had no idea how our kicking game would do.
Now we're winning with Dorian getting 200 yards and then being hurt. Maleek comes in and is clutch. Belack and Ball step up. Windham to Maxwell to Windham to Maxwell. We have eight defensive linemen who can each start equally. We have Javon Hagan who is going to be playing on Sundays. And we have Farkas hitting inside the 20 all the time and Zervos tied for the national lead in field goals made. Great coaching job and great job of the players stepping up and not making excuses.

Let me add: great recruiting. Just count the number of these rising stars who are rFr or rSo. I think we see a very solid foundation here. Perhaps, Monroe's calls for Solich's firing were a tad premature. ;-)

We have to admit Solich has changed, he is challenging his assistant coaches and player. After the game, he said we need to work on tackling and pass defense, he said Maxwell needed to hit more throws. He has hot settled for less. Our performance the last few years was unacceptable for a great coach like Frank, now he is shaking things up.The first play of the game was a deep throw to papi. He realizes that we have to get eight out of the box and attack.

Were you at the Independance Bowl? Ohio has been to this place before.

I have never seen him call out assistant coaches or say we could beat Tennessee. I have never seen us go deep and often to open up the run game.
