2015 Ohio's average of 21,323 did lead the MAC. So four teams are above last season's standard. We will see who prevails as it gets colder.

After today, I know one team that will drop drastically.

Attendance means nothing.

Winning, Ah, that's something. That can create

1) attendance,

2) by fans who have a pulse, who show the least little bit of game enthusiasm for the OHIO FOOTBALL BOBCATS.

Look, we could lead the league in attendance for forever. What does it mean without a MAC title?

It means that there are fans who are interested in going to a football game where their team plays. It means there are people who are willing to spend their time and money to go see their team play.If only the MACC counted, we wouldn't have anybody there.
You must be missing something.

Our average will not drop, because we will continue to have solid 18-2k for every game.

Remember, we do not count actual bodies in the stands.

More season ticket holders might help weekday numbers...but still, it will be rough the last 2 games. Than again, same goes for the rest of the MAC. It will be tough to beat WMU who's in the Top 25 and rising.

That said, today's crowd was way above my expectations. Tons of bands and youth teams. This video of all the high school bands is something else: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9p0Ekc2N8bU

Sorry. I think winning has something to do with it. See: our fans show the excitement of an afternoon tea.

Are you averse to winning?

Are you opposed to a home field that actually provides a crowd advantage?

Please keep eye on ball.

The HS bands and families had to be what - 25% of the entire attendance today. There were a BUNCH there. Student side would have been virtually empty without them.

Don't know about 25% but there were tons. Between youth football teams and HS bands/families, that was easily 40% of the crowd, maybe more. Press box side was brimming with people who had no clue where they were going for restrooms, concessions, etc.

With the announced attendance for today's game of 23,566, that means through four (4) games we are averaging 23,000 per game.

Announced bull shit. It's time to cal the ad out on this bs. Smallest actual crowd of the year and a loss. and a loss. and a loss.

Seriously? IMO biggest crowd of the year was definitely today - those in Phillips Club concurred. Hard to argue with this video of halftime: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9p0Ekc2N8bU

Loss sucked, no argument there. But we enjoyed a fun tailgate, met up with friends and got to be outside on a beautiful afternoon. There's worse ways to spend a Saturday.

Looked as big as any crowd this year to me. Both sides full plus a fair number seated on the hill. Only open seats were in the corners where the family packs and visitors are.

Family packs are sold out anyway, so those all count.

To a certain degree, I agree with this. Winning and being exciting to watch could make a difference in those weeknight games coming up.

Right, so I think the only actual seats available for basically every home game so far has been the visitors corner or on the hill. There may have been a few seats in the very top far ends of the tower side in a game or two.

Today was a little deceiving in that 40% of the student side was occupied by high school bands, so even though they may not have been "sold" it was a butt in the seat.

The number seems accurate based on how the stands looked, but as sure as the sun rose this morning the usual suspects are complaining about it

Which has about nothing to do with anything given that I live in L.A. and my work and personal lives are quite busy.

Yeah, if I'd attended, we'd be undefeated.

And, of course, only those who were there can comment.

Thank you for participating.
