Marshall is 2-7 or something this year. Why would we want them over Purdue?

Why not get teams like Temple, Memphis, WKU, MTSU or other teams like Marshall on the schedule. Rather play better non-P5 competition rather than loading up on turds...we have enough of those already on OUr MAC schedules.
One of the potential answers to this question is simple: They don't want to play us, or they aren't willing to give us a 1 for 1.
Find it hard to believe that Memphis and MTSU are willing to play BG but not Ohio?

Same for WKU vs. Miami

Temple vs. UB in a few years.

All those have been home-and-home. We end up with home-and-homes with UMass and TxSt. #Fail

I really like the way BG schedules. They schedule with the confidence that they're going to be a program to be reckoned with. Some years they'll play three "money" games. They get teams like Maryland to play AT BG.

Our scheduling is getting a little better...but still some stinkers on there going forward.
You pose a good point with WKU vs Miami, and the games BG has. But in my opinion, more or less, Maryland = Kansas.

no chance. Maryland might have got railroaded by both UM and O$U the last couple weeks...but they have been bowl eligible 6 of the last 10 years and were ranked in 2010. And they are 5-5 right now...one win from being bowl eligible again.

KU would kill to be Maryland right now. Kansas hasn't had a winning record in 8 years and has won 4 conference games in that span. FOUR!

Maryland isn't great...but they are much better than KU
