Basham seems to be really coming into his own this season. To my untrained eye this seems, at least in part, to be due to the fact that our overall DL is better and, therefore, he's not getting double teamed as much. It seems to me that in the last two years I've seen a lot of extra pressure by OLs against his side of line, regardless of where he lined up. Is this correct, or am I positing an incorrect theory? Thanks.

There is not enough credit to go around. Recruiting the right kids. Winning in the living room, allen. May not have come with lots of stars, but, these are the right young men for Ohio. Crutch, Branz, Basham, Laseak, Sayles, Robbins, Porter, Smart, Berger, Aloese, Brown, Russell, Johnson, Poling, Moorex2, Scott, Strobel. Strength and conditioning. This group is much bigger and stronger than when they arrived. Coaching TFL. Sacks are coming, but, Burrow is attacking the area just behind the line. 72 TFLs already is a bunch. Toughness, Solich style, playing tocreate the takeaway, QB pressure, hat on the ball, saying hello when you arrive. Finally it comes to having found the right young men.

Basham has a lot of moves, he is versatile and he has gotten a lot better against the run. Teams run to the opposite side of him. He is only 262 pounds, but he is very strong, he gets a lot of push. He gets held all the time. Derek Barnett a consensus top 10 pisck is only 257 pounds and I think Basham is just as good or better. If Basham gets invited to the Senior Bowl, he will be a top three round pick. Basham needs to finish strong. Go Cats http://draft-nation.com/home/2016/9/8/tarell-basham-edge

He is playing lower...making it difficult to block his edge rush. His drive and long arms allow him to make special plays.
