Of course, if WMU loses, they'll drop to oblivion as quickly as possible.

Life in the MAC.

So you go undefeated and make a huge bowl game and then lose your coach. Tradeoff you have to accept I guess, like us and Groce.

The bigger problem is that you usually lose your coach before you even PLAY in that bowl game.

Those can be the worse sometimes. You lose your identity before the game

That's one thing I admired about Hazell. He refused to take the Purdue job until his KSU team had finished their bowl game.

BSU moving the ball well on the ground vs WMU. 200yards early in 2nd qtr. Cardinals playing them pretty even stats wise. Early pick 6 making the difference. Bodes well for us with our running game and better defense...IF we wind up seeing WMU later.

Western looks to be particularly weak against runs up the middle.

Even with the 32 point differential, the stats line is remarkably even, except the 3 turnovers and Corey Davis. Lesson to take away: take care of the ball, keep the ball away from WMU with a strong running attack, control Davis. I like our chances with the first two...

So IF Ohio meets WMU in the MACC, regardless of the outcome, Ohio plays the bowl in Mobile?

Likely.

WMUs chances took a hit today when Wyoming lost in 3OT. If Wyoming loses to SDSU or New Mexico, who are both pretty good, then Boise St. will win that division and get to play probably SDSU for the MWC. SDSU will be worth more to the committee than Ohio. Maybe they would jump WMU. If Wyoming can avoid losing a second conference game then Boise can't win the MWC and would be ineligible for the G5 spot.

I'm not seeing how a trip to Mobile is impending. Ohio wins against WMU as we hope then WMU goes to Quick Lane if the MAC has 6 bowl eligible teams. It's MAC vs. AAC in Miami and MAC vs. CUSA in Bahamas. With Toledo playing Boca last year they'll push for Bahamas. That leaves Miami Beach for Ohio to play in. EMU to Mobile. CMU to Montgomery. Miami heading to Boise. There is no reason for Ohio to push to play in the state of Alabama 2 years in a row.
