L to Texas State 56-54 (3 OT) - 2 pts
L at #15 Tennessee 28-19 - 9 pts
L to Eastern Michigan 27-20 - 7 pts
L at Central Michigan 27-20 - 7 pts

In four loses, the Bobcats only were outscored by a combined 25 points. In MAC play our defense has shown an ability to muck up games. We're not going to get blown out. Our special teams and defense are both enough to keep us within shouting distance of almost any opponent. Zervos is fantastic, Farkas has had some really nice punts, and I trust our punt coverage squad.

Our offense is the big unknown for next Friday. I liked seeing Troy Mangen and Jordan Reid catching some passes over the middle. Those guys need to be reliable targets for Maxwell next week.

Additionally, if Albin is going to insist on gunning for multiple deep shots down the field with Maxwell, he's on due to connect on at least one of them next week. I hope.

Texas State should count as a double digit loss or two losses.

OUr secondary still makes me nervous. If WMU wins over Toledo as they are currently favored to do, the young Bobcats will have to face Corey Davis and they haven't faced a WR nearly as good all year. Gulp!

If Western wins Friday, a double-digit loss in the MACCG is a real possibility. In MAC-only games, through last night's games WMU is:

1st in the MAC in scoring offense
1st in the MAC in scoring defense
1st in the MAC in total offense
3rd in the MAC in total defense
2nd in the MAC in rushing offense
5th in the MAC in rushing defense
3rd in the MAC in pass offense
1st in the MAC in pass defense
1st in the MAC in passing efficiency
1st in the MAC in passing efficiency defense

That's almost the definition of a "juggernaut." It'll be tough finding a weakness on either side of the ball and exploiting it.

Their weakness is called "it's 2016 and weird stuff keeps happening and maybe the Mayan calendar was 4 years off."
