They might have a chance to beat the spread.

Only reason I say that is because Buffalo has WMU's number in the past two meetings. In 2013, they beat WMU 33-0 and in 2012 they won 29-24. Last time Buffalo lost to WMU was in 2009 in OT 34 to 31. This is turning out to be better than I expected.

I'm not sure if WMU is playing down to Buffalo, but the Bulls are keeping them mostly out of the end zone so far. I don't expect them to hold up however.

WMU now up 24-0. Nothing to see here.

With Wyoming winning over San Diego State, the door is wide open for WMU.

Wyoming storming the field. SDSU receiver adamant that he caught a Hail Mary. Now it is under review.

It is ruled that the SDSU receiver scooped a deflection just before it hit the ground and that a Wyoming DB knocked it out after he established possession. TD. SDSU goes for two and fails. Wyoming wins. Now they have an away game against the third place team in the division (New Mexico) where they will probably only be about a 1 or 2 point favorite.

I think that the Washington State loss to Colorado opens up the possibility that WMU is the highest rated G5 again. if not this week adding a win over Toledo could make it so. Boise St. beating two loss SDSU even if Washington State takes a 4th loss to Washington probably would give it back to them.

WMU needs to win out (we can prevent this) and one of the following
1) A Wyoming win at New Mexico.
2) A Boise State loss at Air Force where they will be about a TD favorite - maybe a little more.
3) An SDSU win over Boise State in the MWC title game.
4) Hope and pray that the committee likes the unbeaten MAC champ without a top 35 win over a once beaten MWC team with an OOC win over a potentially ranked Washington State team.

BTW, Navy clinched the division today. Houston, with two conference losses but two great OOC wins, is in eligible because it can't win the AAC. I'd expect Houston to reenter the top 25 but they can't take the G5 spot.

We don't know how far outside the committee's top 25 that Navy was. If they were in reality only a couple of spots outside the rankings they'd only need to jump up about 6 or 7 spots to get the spot. With losses to South Florida and Air Force I wouldn't expect this but the AAC title is going to be worth more on a resume than other G5 titles and I would not be totally stunned by that.

Troy, Temple, and Toledo probably could still make it with the help of many, many upsets in the couple of weeks.
