Coach Chuck Martin has Miami rolling. Streak is W6. 26 or 27 SO/FR on the two deep. Before Miami Martin was OC/Recruiting Coord at Notre Dame for four years which included their great year in 2012. Perhaps Notre Dame remembers him and has been in touch.

As a recruiting coordinator perhaps. They need help on that end as much as anything.

So you're saying Redhawk is more likely to win a MAC title before OHIO?

Or maybe they've been in touch with Tim Albin. That seems about as realistic

Miami winning at anything is not a very popular thought here on BA, but what is happening with their football program is worth watching. They have moved from the bottom half of the MAC to closer to the top with their recent facilities additions. The last two recruiting classes have benefited from being able to show their recruits their monster practice facility, and state of the art locker rooms, training rooms, football administration facility, weight training facility, Academic center, etc etc etc. Miami will likely be the pre-season pick in the MAC East, whether B.A's like it or not. The Battle of the Bricks is likely to get a lot more interesting moving forward.

Exactly right. Will be tragic if they find a way to win another MAC title before Frank finds his first

Miami snuck up on the MAC this year. I doubt they win the East anytime soon. BG I bet will be back as a contender next year and Bowden who destroyed Miami is going to be in Akron for a long time. Miami was last in MAC football facilities before and with the new buildings now in the upper 1/3rd.

Based on tradition alone, it seems inevitable that they will return to winning. Certainly they have improved recruiting dramatically the last three years, so their resurgence is not a surprise. This year and next would seem to be Ohio's best chances to win the MACC. Next year's game will be in Athens, so I disagree with doubledribble, and I think Ohio will be favored.

Let's not wait. Let's win it this year. Go Bobcats!

How many games has tradition won over the years?

Is this what you believe L.C? The landscape has changed in SW Ohio with Cincinnati building a strong FB program. Ohio has passed Miami by as the place for a tough blue collar player. AJ played HS in Miami's backyard and he walked on to Ohio. Oxford has no football atmosphere. I'm afraid of them about as much as I'm afraid of Roo' which is not very much. It's Ohio that was the sleeping giant of MAC football that with some investment is starting to awaken.

Miami just won 6 straight MAC games and is proving once again, along with EMU, that fan and student and community interest mean nothing in the MAC.

They'll probably be the MAC East favorite next year.

Based on what? They finished #2 in the East but lost to the #1 and #3 teams handily. The only program in the east that scares me is the defending MAC champs themselves Bowling Green who under a first year HC had a horrific start. Lucky to catch BG early because they are starting to pull it together as the season wraps up. Fiami we've beaten 10 of 11 and Roo' 9 in a row so not concerned about them. BG has shown the ability to produce offensively and have very good teams, something its been many years to see in Oxford and never really at all in Akron.

Good point regarding EMU. Do they have any community involvement?
