Is it mainly focused on Miami and would think Toledo.
More than one is enough, but did post this on csnbbs and wonder if UMass has the potential to become rivals. We are both name sake state universities. Both overshadow a bit in media with Ohio State and Boston College. Both in more rural location than population centers. Both have a history of being good in both basketball and football. We need to turn it up but we do have a plan and new financial commitments to return to success. Now for the quote.

I will add, since the Mid-American Conference was established on Feb. 24, 1946, with five charter members (Ohio University, Wayne State (Mich.), Butler, Cincinnati and Western Reserve), Wayne State departed in 1947, Butler in 1950, Cincinnati in 1953 and Western Reserve in 1955.
Ohio is the only one of the five 1946 charter members to still be in the conference.
[/OUTER_QUOTE]
UMass is the last public founding members of the A10 and leaving. Where are they going, to the MAC. Seems like UMass and Ohio should be rivals and not Buffalo.

Here's a helpful guide and is mostly accurate. You could probably draw a dotted arrow line to Marshall from Ohio as well.

In football it's Miami and Marshall. Personally I enjoy beating Bowling Green more than anyone.

We have work to do, but think it's possible. Enjoyed seeing your fans during the one past home game at McGuirk.

Unfortunately, Miami is becoming a rival in football again. I preferred it when we were beating them like a steel drum every year, but it’s nice to care about those games again.
Akron in basketball. Always felt a deep rivalry there, even more than Miami. Always a tough gritty game.
Programs wise, I think we’ve reached an even plane with Toledo in football as a consistent 1-2. Their success in basketball also makes me hate them. Though tournament wise, they can’t figure it out. Beating them always feel like a huge win. And it usually is. I don’t think we have a natural rivalry with them, but truly I get more anxious and excited to play them than anyone else.
