Even after WMU's undefeated season, a convincing win by Navy could send them to the Cotton Bowl and WMU to the Heart of Dallas Bowl to face a team like North Texas.

Ouch.

I will be stunned if WMU is picked over Navy. Mainly due to my (conspiracy) theory that the NCAA is anti-MAC.

Navy brings a lot of intangibles to the table that a MAC just doesn't. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

So far so good for WMU and the Mac's chances. The one time I may ever root for Temple.

This may be an academic discussion.

Temple 24
Navy 3

Mainly "interest" and "money", which is all the CFP cares about.

Hopefully Temple keeps kicking the crap out of them and the discussion is moot.

Further, whichever MAC schools face AAC schools in post season bowls will hopefully kick the AAC teams butts.

How about those owls. Snapping it from under center and snapping it in the shotgun. I thought college guys couldn't do both those things?

Who ever said that? Some college teams do both but many don't. I would prefer if we did both. But we are far from alone in using shotgun in third and fourth and short situations.

Western Michigan too, I believe.

Yes; there's total equivalence between WMU and us.

Head to head, six points, not equal, but, not so much. Thanks for the slow pitch.

Thanks for staying on point and actually understanding the idea being expressed by someone of the other side of the fire-Solich debate. Bcat2 made a good point. One directly relevant to this issue. You might have a good counter argument to explain why it works for WMU and not for OHIO, but you didn't make it.
