After watching practices this week, I can tell anyone who is interested that our kids are ready to go Saturday. Practice has been fast paced and spirited. Looks good to see a couple of our injured players out there and near full speed. As we get key players healthy, the playbook is much closer to complete. Not sure if we will beat Eastern, but we will be focused and ready to play.
Go Cats !
I do not think anyone is questioning (I know I am not) our kids desire to play and the coaches ability to get them ready. I think the fair question though is how good is this team. Time will tell, and go Cats!

Seems to me that there are quite a few "Bobcat Fans" that spend way too much time on the internet trying very hard to prove that Ohio is a shitty team. Geeze, just go to the damn games, watch them on TV and root for the Cats. Why waste so much time complaining and researching their deficiencies? After all, you have absolutely no control of who they recruit, what plays are called, and yes, who they play.

Look out now folks but I don't think this team will win but one game the rest of the way. No offense + a soft defense = many losses.

This loss means squat. No one in the East is going to top Ohio in the standings when it's all said and done.

It will be very hard to win the East with losses to Kent and Akron.

I've been telling you it's coming. This team is headed to the MACC and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see it win it all. No one wants to face this team in Detroit.

I was talking about this in another thread. Ohio will be in the MACC, that's been a known and given for weeks now despite it not yet being official - but it will be soon. But as for the opponent, whether it's WMU or Toledo, I really think Ohio has a good shot at winning. Ohio has already beaten Toledo, at Toledo, and I really think Ohio can run the ball vs WMU. Whoever it is that comes out of the West, they aren't going to want to play Ohio. If it were any other team from the East besides Ohio, Toledo or WMU would blow them out. But Ohio is going to make it a really good game and will have a chance to win.

Huge edge now for Ohio. Ohio can sit back and prep for both WMU and UT and they don't even play for 3 more days. That's going to make a very short turn around for whichever one wins.

Not sure I agree. OUr 12 day break against CMU didn't help us and Akron's 13 day break didn't help them tonight.

Few will give Ohio a chance to win, which is exactly why this team is going to give whoever it is a handful. Ohio's that one team in the MAC that no one wants to face right now, especially on the big stage. Ohio defends, runs the ball, can strike with a big play, eats up the clock and has a good kicker. Just ask Toledo, which trailed the entire game and lost to Ohio on their own field.

If it's Toledo, Ohio has already proven it can beat them by already having beat them on their home field. If it's WMU, the pressure and stage could be too much for the Broncos, and we all know that no ranked and undefeated MAC team has ever won the MAC Championship. They've all been knocked off and lost.

I 100% predicted, believed and knew Ohio would win the East. There wasn't a single doubt in my mind, not even on Akron's final drive. A few months ago I felt the MAC Championship might be a stretch though. Now, I really do think Ohio has a really good chance to win it. Each passing week, especially after the win at Toledo, more convinced Ohio can win it. I'm not quite ready to say Ohio will, but I'm 100% on board with saying that Ohio can.

The last two Ohio game performances not very good. Two convincing victories going into the MACC and I say its plausible. Is Frank going to go for it on 4th down in a 1 score game with the ball on the opposing teams 20? Tried it two times and failed tonight. We are limping into this.

Always love how Ohio is always the team no MAC basketball team wants to see in Cleveland in March. That thought (only present here on BA) has now spread to MAC football.

If its WMU, how do they look Friday against Toledo? Chink in the armor or do they cruise? A few computer polls have WMU as high as #2 in the country. Its the best team in the history of the MAC we may be talking about here.
