This is true, and as a Navy guy I almost wish they'd win one so the series would look s little more competitive. Nevertheless, Go Navy!

Navy's 4th string QB is a pretty good ground-pounder. Great play young man.

And, to think that they lost to Buffalo!

It was a good, hard-fought game.

Next year Navy can start another long winning streak, but this year belongs to our Army brethren.

Hard Work + Dedication = Excellence. God Bless all of those young men.

All who have written a blank check to the United States of America, in the amount of, "up to and including their life."

Oh, I missed the beginning, I assume there was the National Anthem, anyone take a knee? Just kidding.

At first blush I'm thinking, why is this thread in an Ohio University football messageboard? Well, after the game the CBS TV announcer Verne Lundquist, who's final football game broadcasting was this one, goes on to say that the first game he was a broadcast announcer for was Ohio U. (we'll forgive him the slight) vs. Kent State in 1974. Of course I should have known there was an Ohio University connection to this game!

P.S. I have no skin in this game per se and I don't care who wins generally, but it is nice to see the joy of the Army players! And I agree with the announcers-maybe this game doesn't have national championship ramifications to it, but as a rivalry it is absolutely unparalleled!

I remember that telecast. Had totally forgotten that it was Lundquist who did it.

However.....THIS YEAR.....Army has the one game winning streak, Popeye. The oil tender fumes are wafting all over, old pal. (It has been a long wait for the Knights to get a win this century, to be sure.)

If there is one game I've always wanted to attend but haven't had the chance it's this one. So much tradition and pageantry.

My wife and I got to see it at Giants Stadium a few years ago.

Hard to describe our feelings as to just how great it was.

One of the most memorable events of any kind we ever went to.

Saturday's game was my 12th Army/Navy game. Amazing experience in so many ways.

What is it they say about the blind grunt finding a football in the end zone by chance every decade or so? ;-)

As the West Point Superintendent LTG Robert Caslen said before the game, if the Cavs, Cubs, and Trump can all win this year so can Army! Eight straight games and losing ten starters looked to take a toll for Navy in the first half, but they fought back and made it a game as you would come to expect. That's my fifth in a row and so far each and every game is better than the year before...an honor to watch these young men. Watching 67,000 fans, Cadets and Midshipmen walking side by side after the game with no fights, no trash talk, etc is refreshing compared with how we normally leave Ravens Stadium (which is ugly being a Bengals fan)!
