Will there be a BA meet up? Although I know a lot of the people on here. I don't know many of the main contributors.

At the Kansas game the Bash was the place to be. Saw many of the player's families there. If I could make this one I would be there thanking them. Some here should make an effort to meet them. It is very hard to be down on the team once you get to know the players or their families.

Plenty of good watering holes walking distance to Ford Field.

I'll be bouncing around a few pre-game....and hopefully celebrating there post-game.

And bcat2....just in reply to the "meeting the players family...you would not be as down on the team" comment. I get where you're coming from....but just to clarify. When I get "down on the team" it is NOTHING personal to the players or their families at all. I understand the amount of work they put into this and how hard they work. I never mean to diminish that....but what you seem to misconstrue is my disappointment in the on-the-field results and where this program is after 12 years of Solich to that being a reflection on the players as people. The two are totally separate. It's natural to react to "your" team whether it be good or bad results on the field with an opinion. But I don't think anyone on this message board disrespects the players as people and questions their motives. I think too many times you tie those two together and that isn't fair to the players or to the people who share their opinions, positive or negative. You tend to think if someone gets down on the results, we naturally are disrespecting the players/coaches as people.

There have been many times on many teams when a really, really bad person does something extraordinary on the field and helps his/her team win. You don't say "Well, he/she made that awesome play so I'll just forget that they are a horrible person and (insert comment here....beat their wife/girlfriend....killed someone in a DUI....etc)

Just because some of us voice displeasure with the result of the game does NOT mean we are damning the individual player as a person. They are separate. And vice versa with bad people and good teams/wins.

Honestly, this is what comes with the territory of being a D1 or pro athlete. You're going to be criticized and praised....sometimes deservedly so....but many times not. It comes from both sides.

If you like good brewed on premises craft beers and a good menu the Detroit Beer Company is a 10-minute walk from Ford Field.

No kidding. Is anyone surprised that you take legit, reasonably objective appraisal as 'being negative so often.'

Because only full on support is allowed, only full on support will satisfy you.

So.... I'm guessing you have a favorite pro team. Do you not ever question anything or criticize? Do you just say, "hey these guys are trying so hard, so I'm fine with that"

No one is trying to disrespect the players, their families, their work ethic. THIS ISN'T PERSONAL.

These guys are division one college football players. Criticism comes with the territory. I can almost guarantee they do not give two craps what some message board idiots are saying about them. And if they do, they need to grow some thicker skin.

Do you think Leonard Fournette reads the LSU message board? Do you not think fans of other schools like Ohio State or Alabama aren't critical of their players or coaches?

Gimmie a break. This is sports. This is what fans do. They cheer. They complain. Doesn't make them unappreciative.

These are opinions from message board idiots (me included) Quit trying to turn this into a manifesto on how people with opposing opinions are awful people who hate their alma mater and their players. If we didn't care, would we waste our time in this message board or going to games. Just silly.

The reason you have zero credibility here with some is due to your asinine statements. You have a never ending need to twist, or actually totally change others comments. One example from today is you saying "Which is kind of easy when the other side refuses to engage in any type of logic, instead adhering 100% of the time to the view that everything--as in everything--about the program is perfect.

Actually, better than perfect."

Kindly find a post here where anyone stated things are perfect/ I'll wait until hell freezes over.

Rather ... many here feel we're reasonable successful given a 60% winning percentage. And you? You continually complain and say we're mediocre. Google "mediocre" and check the definition.

And most laughable is your insistence that a MACC is the sole criteria to define success. So is Miami more successful than us in the last dozen years?

You used the word logic above but I think you also fail to understand that definition as well (as 'mediocre').
