I think the way things are going, the FBS division will split into two different divisions again on its own the P5 division and everyone else, the G5 leftovers like the MAC. All the TV $ will go to the new power division and scraps for all the rest.

I don't know about other teams in the MAC but I believe a 13,000 seat Convo will find a spot for us in a P5 + Noah's Arch of the rest new division. That welcome center is only going to further the argument. The Big East might have to add football again to make the cut, a place we could possibly go.

If you think we're ready for the big time, then you're off your rocker.

We're lucky to bring 2k fans to a conference championship in Detroit. If that screams power 5 to you then by all means go find that conference that will take us in. Even if that conference championship was on OU's campus, that game wouldn't sell out, let alone be lucky to keep 200 students thru the entire game. They'd probably still leave after halftime like they always do

We sold 6,000 BTW to Detroit. That's not bad without a big alumni base in Michigan. The students want to leave after halftime that's fine. They are in Athens to get an education first and foremost not watch sports. I don't think we are quite ready for the big time yet but with a few more facilities in place we would be. Winning 10 games a year and we're prepared. That puts you into the upper tier of G5 programs.

You suggesting that the students are leaving early to get to the library?

What source told you 6k? Trust me when I tell you this, we didn't sell close to 6k. They had extra inventory from their initial allotment. A LOT of inventory.

Hate to burst your bubble, but we're nowhere close to winning 10 games a year. ..even against our awful schedules. It happened ONCE in Frank's 12 years...and it took 14 games.

We're a mid-level MAC program in football. 4th best I'd say. Just above average. 2-6 in bowl games...0-4 in MACC games...4-15 vs P5 schools.

What about that screams moving to a P5 league or an upper-tier G5 league even?

Sorry....we're nowhere near being a relevant college football program

Sad.

But a fair analysis.

Therefore, the SFB either will ignore it or dispute it using irrelevancies.
