It's a double edged sword. Tuesday night MACtion has done a lot to promote awareness for every school in the MAC. I'm all for it in reality, but what I'm more in favor of is having ONE Tues/Wed night game each week in the conference, then allowing everyone else to return to Saturday games.
The MAC would really have to put in overtime on scheduling if they do this.

You should have to have some consistency in the time teams have between "short" and "long" weeks.
With "byes" it can probably be done,but seems tricky to me.

You can't do that easily, unfortunately. When you switch from Saturday to mid-week, and back, you end up with those short weeks and/or eat up your bye weeks, or both.
