Did not get to watch much of the second half as the wife and I went out for a New Year's dinner, but boy this looked like a complete mauling. Dare I say that this was a "crushing loss"?

Didn't see that coming but never thought that would happen.

The Force Awakens.

Now PSU beats USC and the Selection Committee really has egg on their faces.

This game and it's score, together with Mariah Carey's meltdown, really made my New Year's Eve!

And we gripe about Albin.....good lord. At least we don't have Tim Beck.

Never thought I'd be typing that line.

OSU has co-offensive coordinators. Not sure about the division of responsibilities. However, OSU ranks 12th rushing and 82d passing attack. Vs Clemson, OSU ran into an 8th ranked defense. If you choose to throw Beck under the bus for this, fine, just understand that bus has Clemson Tiger Paws all over it and Dabo Swinney & staff deserve credit equal to Beck's for the result.

Not disagreeing, but when 21 of the first 27 plays are passing and JT Barrett still can't hit water.....that's a problem.

So, which coach is "rushing" and which is "passing" and given Clemson's interior DL seems to be made up of "Fridge" Perry clones who would hold OSU to 88 rushing yards. OSU's game is run the ball, stop the run, win the game. Clemson beat OSU at their own game. Credit Clemson. Unless you are saying OSU should have called more running plays which would have run more clock and maybe Clemson scores one less TD, result Clemson 26, OSU 0. OSU seemed unable to adequately fill in for a gimpy LG on the OL. Doing my best here, trying to generate some appreciation for a damned good Clemson team. We will see if Alabama's OL can do better vs Clemson.

Clemson couldn't have played a better game. The defense for them will give Alabama fits, no question asked. Where Clemson will need to stay sharp is Watson coughing up the ball to Bama. Two turnovers to Ohio State would do them in against a team with a competent offense, especially with field positions on their side of the field plus those turnovers.

Probably not. Ohio State, a program which wins significantly --in number of wins and prominence of those wins--would have blown Solich and staff out years ago.

You may not like that. But you need to get real about the quality and expectations of real football vs. OHIO, with its tolerance for mediocrity endlessly.

You think the wolverines wouldn't be at the door at OSU if they had a 6 loss season.

Or a single four loss season?

How did this become about Solich? I'm questioning the Buckeyes and their irrational take on reality. We had better not see a smile on Urban's face until they win the national title. The people of Columbus deserve at least that much.

Monroe apparently won't stop until he alienates every BA poster. If I were Ryan or Ted, I'd be concerned about the quality posters who have exited this forum.

Or Western Michigan wins in a squeaker and PSU second half magic didn't catch the plane to Pasadena and the egg on the committee faces is rather a, "Why were so many BigTeam ranked in the top ten this season?"

Totally agree B2B. If Watson keeps throwing INTs, Alabama will make Clemson pay.

Clemson is outstanding Bcat2, no doubt about that! However, I do think OSU's passing game was average at best this year. Maybe it was a combination of factors-their offensive line wasn't the best, the wide receivers couldn't create separation (the announcers said as much during the game) and Barrett was only OK as a passer. Clemson was right-they had faced better QBs this year.

A little honesty on your part please:

Your post used this (quotes are yours) "mediocrity." You well know that's been used a million times here re Solich, is a buzz word for OHIO FOOTBALL.

And, this is an OHIO FOOTBALL board. So, analogies to OHIO FOOTBALL surprise you?

So yet again you try (unsuccessfully) to justify your off topic rants. Maybe the best approach is to not have any topics since you never seem to adhere to the topic being discussed. But you excel at being repetitive and redundant.

Any who here is responsible for the majority of the 'million' posts re: mediocrity? Yes ... YOU!!! But keep hijacking any thread you want.

No .... you were the only one WRONG here. The thread is about OSU and Clemson and a poster asked if OSU would tolerate mediocrity. How the heck does that have anything to do with Solich? If I proved 2 + 2 = 4 you'd disagree. Why you never acknowledge being wrong is mind boggling.
