We talked about recruiting a lot of players that can play right away, but they will be backups. Then they asked about the healthiness of our running backs and the coach only talked about AJ. He described the O-line as overworked and banged up last year, instead of substandard. At the end of camp last year, Hagan was a second string alternate at safety. We have to stop the start forever phenomenon. Only 6 players should be looked at as starters, yet in their head they have their 22. No more starting forever and being comfortable, that is why we don't win championships. I think 3 or freshmen can start next year. Let the best man win.

If Cox is a back up doing KR's and PR's, Dorian Brown goes down and by mid season he's on the field half the time. More experienced is not always better as these players rack up injuries in 5-6 years.

Any of them could start, if they can win the job. None of them have been guaranteed that they can start. The only one that I think newcomer that I think will start is Rourke, but any of the others are welcome to prove me wrong, and Maxwell is welcome to prove me that he can hold onto the job.

It also wouldn't surprise me to see a Freshman win a starting job at CB next year, I guess.

Since this class is light on backs I am guessing that Mr. Irons will still be around.

It's called the West Coast offensive. You should like it very much.

A 2017 without Irons would mean Ohio would be left with only Brown, Ouellette and White returning with only, oh, something like 570+ carries and something like 2850+ yards for something like a 4.9 yard average. What will we ever do?

Injury. Prone.

All three of those guys have missed significant time during their careers.

Would be nice to not have to raid the secondary to find a RB in week 7

+1 Irons looked fragile after his initial injury. Hopefully they can all stay healthy. AJ is working hard, hopefully Irons and Brown are with him.

Of course it's not. The sky is full of rainbows and unicorns!

Just print the invites now for NYC!

HEISMAN FINALISTS!!!!

DORIAN BROWN
AJ OUELLETTE
PAPI WHITE
AND TRUE FRESHMAN JULIAN ROSS .... WHO GOT ZERO OFFERS FROM ANY OTHER SCHOOL

You are delusional....and it's only February! Already in mid-season form. Well done.

I'm not saying Brown, Ouellette, White aren't talented...but if we're banking on them to stay healthy it's a gamble. All three have missed significant time with injuries. Disregarding that is just sticking your head in a hole ....

He made a comment based off of truth, he never said the sky was falling. Come on, lol. We hope to have our RB's healthy, we had a walks on go down as well at the position.

Truth be told I worry about the healthy/longevity at both the running back AND the quarterback positions. We we down 2 QBs before the season even started last year!

Just to be clear, Ross apparently didn't do the things that an athlete normally would do if he wants to promote himself, like getting himself listed and rated by the recruiting services. Even then, in an article about him it said that he didn't have any offers until late in the recruiting season. Finally he got an offer from SE Missouri State, and then the offers started pouring in. He ended up with 7 offers, total, but I have no idea who they were from because he didn't report them to the recruiting services.

He is a good player, he will have to put on some weight and keep his speed and he will be fine.

Is it me, or did Frank sound like it's possible that AJ may or may not suit up this year for Ohio?

AJ got a strength award two weeks ago. Foot and ankle injuries are tough because sometimes you never fully recover. Hopefully, AJ is able to return to form.
