Randy Edsall pulled UConn's schollie offer with little warning and seemingly for no reason. The kid -- Ryan Dickens -- had just won the Mini Maxwell Award for excellence in academics, athletics and public service. He committed to UConn last June. Our coaches should be on the phone with him today. URI has already extended an offer. http://usatodayhss.com/2017/uconn-football-coach-randy-ed...

I hope they're 0-12 next year. Absolutely shocking coach wouldnt honor the scholarship. But this a business whether people say it is or not. This is another reason college athletes should be paid. He lost potential offers while their program scrambled to find a new coach; which is the former coach. This story upset me...

You'd think that next year he'd have trouble getting anyone to commit, but it probably won't happen.

This is exactly where I use my glass houses line, all schools have participated in this and in oversign-ing in some capacity. Some are more habitual offenders than others, but all schools have participated in this practice at some point.

I didn't read this as an oversigning situation. Normally the coach would offer a grayshirt in that case. Here the indication is that they simply don't want him at all.
