:), Smith we knew about, Bainbridge was already within the Athletic Department and Germano, I doubt was required to interview.

He lives in Missouri, he just reads Frank's mind at a distance. It's called ESP. Instead of the Show Me State, for him it's the Show Your Precognition State. ;-)

Germano will have a lot more to work with than the last time he was here. Coach Williams left the cupboard completely full.

With the addition of Germano, Ohio now has all of the recruiting coordinators back on staff. Germano was the recruiting coordinator from 2005-9, and now is the defensive line coach. Isphording was the recruiting coordinator in 2010, and is now the QB coach. Brian Haines has been the recruiting coordinator since 2011. I'm not sure this means anything, but I thought it was interesting. Recruiting the last couple years has been excellent, and who knows, maybe adding another former coordinator to the mix will help it even more.

Where did the other coaches go? Never saw anything on them leave.

DB Coach Perkins went the the NFL (Tampa Bay)
DL Coach Williams went to Kansas
HS Relations Coordinator Kohr went to Iowa State. He'd replaced Michael George, who left last summer for Texas State.

Glad to have Pete back. Great guy and a super family. A real addition to the Athens community.

Orthodoxy seems to be that the coaches were great...and though a few great ones left, we'll be even better for it.

There's never anything but sunshine in this program.

It may be true that the coaching staff and recruiting are better now. But is that a reasonable conclusion after losing three guys who were thought to be very good?

I have no opinion on whether these changes will make Ohio better or not. I was just pointing out that it was interesting to see all the recruiting coordinators back. As for the DB coach, the one leaving wasn't at Ohio long enough for me to have a strong opinion, and I know nothing about his replacement. The same for Coach Eric Kohr. Coach Williams was a huge loss. He did an amazing job of identifying, recruiting, and coaching defensive linemen, and you can see the result this year with Basham about to be drafted, and Sayles and Laseak probably signing UFA deals.

Hold on a minute.

Let's see what the actual NFL results are.

The history on these threads of taking hopes and projections as results is long and not very sensible.

We were ranked 120+ against the pass and we faced two wide receiver qb's, we can only go up as far as the db coach. Germano was a good recruiting coordinator and position coach.
