I'm in Tucson in the winter and just saw on the news that the new AD @ Arizona is from Central Michigan. I'm guessing OU dodged a bullet on that one.

The bullets that were dodged were the Purdue and west Virginia openings where Schaus was an alum. That said its not the same as coaching where the coach is the franchise and connection for recruits so universities will triple a guys salary for a successful one. The CMU AD was making 254k and the Arizona job pays 600k for AD. Arizona football job pays 3 million. Schaus had his contract extended out to 2021 last summer after the Purdue job filled. He has 135k of performance incentives in his contract.

With Kansas State opening, will be interesting to see who considers that job. I don't forsee Schaus in that contest, but will be entertaining to watch shake out.

That's not a good job, in my opinion. Whoever is hired will most likely have to replace Snyder, and the result will most likely cost the next AD his job. I would expect that post-Snyder, K-State will move back towards their historical pre-Snyder winning rate, which was the lowest in the country, I believe.
