I know the score was not what you wanted, but, the Green fought hard and it showed. Windham with a 300 yard game vs a fine opponent, Reid with 162 a career day, D front held a fine running team under 100 again. There was not a game when you needed to hang your heads and certainly not this one. During the last two years you have been raising the bar. Thank you for being Bobcats.

Thank goodness you don't follow OU basketball so we don't have to hear from your homer self until next football season, who ever the heck you are.

5 turnovers and the same problems. Yep. Thanks for continuing the streak! 48 years and counting!

Coach Frank Solich on the game

“Hard fought football game obviously. Tough for our players, I thought they played tremendously hard, physical football. Good things out there that they did, one thing that we did that was too much to overcome was five turnovers to two turnovers. Other than that, was pretty pleased at a lot of things they did out there. Neither team rushed the ball very well, lot of throws in the game. Some big plays, but a lot of grinding it out kind of football, in terms of completions. That’s kind of where it’s at. I felt all along we had a shot, we got off to not a very good start, but our players fought back. I’m proud of them for that.”

I'm one of several on here who believe bcat2 has little to no credibility when it comes to Ohio football. And while I don't disagree with the title of this thread, the part about the seniors raising the bar over the past two years is just another example of why he has little to no credibility with more than a few BA posters.

If this was a Seinfeld episode, bcat2 would be Bizzaro Monroe.

The nasty replies had nothing to do with the players or coaches. They devote a great deal of time and effort to a game they love to play and coach and many fans love to watch. Not one of them is loafing or not trying. Anyone who has played on a team knows that. The replies were directed at the poster who based on the number of similar posts about his posts, is becoming as tiresome as some claim our friend out west has become. Nothing less, nothing more.

Good game to watch last night and a fantastic performance by one of the best run defenses in the country.

Alan, I do not understand how you can say that the nasty posts are not aimed at the players and coaches. I know it is not easy to re-read all the negative garbage, but if you do so you will agree that the hate is aimed at our players and coaches. The trolls and haters have poisoned the Bobcat Attack forums where Bobcat fans used to enjoy following their teams. Give these trolls a few more weeks and they will have turned on our basketball program too.

The bball turning is on already.

We've had our share of negative posters over the years on the football side, but what amazes me is the clmplainers back in the losing days seemed less in number and less in vile. The closer we get to a decent program the more the haters complain that we should be even better.

DD- I was only talking about the posts and posters on this thread and I did just go back and reread their comments. I happen to know 3 of the posters and what I read was support of the seniors and criticism of a poster whose connection to OU we can't figure out and whose constant sugar coating of everything has gotten tiresome.

I don't mind it but I may be in the minority. What I find tiresome is the constant alarmist posts. Every loss doesn't have to be an exercise in soul searching and a complete questioning of our athletic identity.

Look, we all respect the young men who have made it through 4-6 years and contributed to the program. We all wish them well. I can't point to anyone who posts here who'd argue with that.

That's like arguing against sunshine or holidays.

It's just kind of flat that such thankfulness is the best that we can end the season with year after year after year and that the SFB see that thankfulness as the best that the program can do.

These young men deserve better.

I agree - thank you Seniors. I expected this to be one of Solich's better teams at Ohio, and while the record doesn't necessarily look as good as some of the other teams, it was indeed a very good team, a team that never quit, and never backed down. Someone else said in another thread that they were 20 plays away from being undefeated. I'd say they were one player short of what was needed to be a great team.

In any case, I love defense, and except for the first game, this team played great defense all year, and I enjoyed this team a great deal. I wish they could have finished the year with two close wins instead of two close losses, but it was not to be.

For the Juniors and others that will be returning next year, you need to keep getting better. 2017 will also be a very good team. Finish the year with close wins instead of close losses.
