Cooper Rush is looking bad, Taylor Moton could be moving up. Kareem Hunt may be sliding with a 4.62 40 and coming in 15 pounds below his listed weight. Roberts disappointed with his 40 time, he and Hunt will runagain at Toledo's pro day. Rush will need to throw again. Kenny Golladay had a great workout. Both Brown and Basham will be working out tomorrow.

Basham has the fastest DE time with a 4.81 so far and he did not finish strong. The commentators said, he is a reall good player, probbly a second or third rounder. He added 10 pounds since the senior bowl. great job Basham

two guys have beat Basham's time, they are both 240 pounders projected to be linebackers. Myles Garrett is about to run.

Allen. What no report/comment on the bench results? However, I am in the camp the bench is a poor indicator of football talent.

Basham just ran a blazing 4.7 second only to Myles Garrett. Basham showed out, Trey Hendrickson impressed as well, he ran a 4.68 and 4.64 at 270 pounds. Baham's stock is rising. Hello Top Performer

Basham only had 15 reps, which is horrible, hopefully he does that again at the pro day.

I do not believe Blair Brown even participated in the bench.

They bench the day before. Brown listed as a DNP. He will need to run very well.

His 4.59 is third among the linebackers, and his 37 inches is second in the vertical. His 124 in the broad jump is 5th. Brown is no doubt helping himself a lot today.

Basham was middle of the pack in the vertical and the broad jump.

Edit - Brown's 4.59 was downgraded to 4.65 for some reason, dropping him into a tie for 5th. He dropped to 6th in the broad jump. In both cases the result is still great.

Basham shone again with a nice 20 yard shuttle time.

With that 40 there is really no telling how high Basham might go...

They did say Basham had the best football name at the combine.

Brown did great, I think both should come back and create last minute buzz on their pro day. 4.59 and 4.7 are great numbers for them.

I'd say that Basham started out highly regarded, and did nothing to hurt himself, and probably helped himself some, and that Brown definitely moved up a lot today. I think Basham will go in the 2d or 3rd round, and I think Brown moved up from a likely UFA to being drafted in the late rounds.

Now we'll have to see if some of the others can impress enough at Pro Day to be offered free agent contracts (as opposed to mini-camp tryouts). The players with the best shot of that are Sayles, Sebastian Smith, and Laseak. Players that might get mini-camp tryouts include Watson, Cooper, Reid, Toran Davis, and of course, Bo Hardy. Even though he was Ohio's plug-in handyman, as the fastest player on the team, I expect Bo to open some eyes at Pro Day with some sizzling time like 4.30, after which surely someone will invite him to a minicamp to see what they can use him for.

I watched the linebacker drills and the announcers were amazed by Brown's speed and they said that his tape was very good. Basham and Brown may need to do the 225 at their pro day

Brown added a 6th place in the 3 cone drill and third in the 20 yard shuttle. In the end he nabbed "Top Performer" awards in two categories, the vertical leap and the 20 yard shuttle, and was barely off the pace in every other category. I don't think anyone helped themselves yesterday more than he did. My guess is that there will be a number of people taking a second look at his game film this week, and he'll be considered a mid to late round draft pick instead of a potential free agent, despite not being "NFL size" for a linebacker.

He should have had three because Peppers is a DB. Brown is very durable and productive, he will find a home, he could be a London Fletcher. He should keep running and run a 4.5 at his pro day to create some last minute buzz.

And, yet, we were 8-6. (no _ _ _ _ )

Given the loss of these big talents, what can we expect this coming year?

I remember how you harangued me in your patented Monroesque manner when I suggested about two years ago that Basham was a potential NFL draft pick. You told me that i was completely wrong and I had no idea what an NFL defense player looked like. Your analysis is always spot on, and you have tremendous credibility . . . NOT.

[Edit: I'm not saying that I haven't been wrong on a number of assertions on this board, but I try to admit quickly when I'm wrong; and I don't repeat the same statement over and over again in every thread.]

Basham is, apparently, going to do better than I thought.

But I think that your assertion was that you were told that he'd be a very high draft pick.
