Orthodoxy seems to be that the coaches were great...and though a few great ones left, we'll be even better for it.
There's never anything but sunshine in this program.
It may be true that the coaching staff and recruiting are better now. But is that a reasonable conclusion after losing three guys who were thought to be very good?
I have no opinion on whether these changes will make Ohio better or not. I was just pointing out that it was interesting to see all the recruiting coordinators back. As for the DB coach, the one leaving wasn't at Ohio long enough for me to have a strong opinion, and I know nothing about his replacement. The same for Coach Eric Kohr. Coach Williams was a huge loss. He did an amazing job of identifying, recruiting, and coaching defensive linemen, and you can see the result this year with Basham about to be drafted, and Sayles and Laseak probably signing UFA deals.
