The bench shows endurance, Basham has longer arms so it is a little harder, but after 4 years at Ohio, he should be able to do 20+ reps. I did 10 as a 40 year old Army vet at 220 pounds. Would I say that I am anywhere near as strong as Basham, heck no, but I may be close as far as endurance. He probably had a bad day. He should do it again.

The other night I was heading back to Athens from Wilmington, Ohio down Route 50 out of McArthur and 50 was flooded about 3 miles from 32. Against my better judgement I tried to cut across Zaleski State Forrest.

Well that did not work out and I ended up back tracking to McArthur to get back to Athens.

My trip through Zaleski State Forrest was quite interesting to say the least.

A very nice/kind sasquatch or possibly a very well spoken bear named Gary noticed that I seemed to be a bit lost.

He let me know the route via Mineral was flooded out and gave me solid directions back to 50.

Gary happened to notice the Ohio bumper sticker on my Jetta and let me know he is a huge fan of Ohio Athletics particularly Ohio Football (he watches each game at the Lake Hope State Park Lodge).

Gary told me he is very close to an ancient magical beaver (almost forgot to mention he is BFF's with Rufus) the beaver predicts the Bobcat's are going to win the MACC in 2017!!! Due to confidentiality reasons and it currently being the middle of trapping season for beaver in Ohio Gary did not feel comfortable giving me the ancient magical beaver's name or location.

According to Gary the ancient magical beaver predicted the 68 MACC Team and the 2012 Sweet 16 Team.

We are either going to win the MACC game this year or I a need to cut back on certain things in my life or both.

DARN, I FORGOT TO ASK ABOUT THE MYSTERY TRANSFER!!!

Heck you don't get to speak with a magical bear/sasquatch everyday, so the mystery transfer slipped my mind. I miserably failed as a Bobcat fan.

I will ask next time I go out to Zeleski State Forrest. Really hope I can find Gary would love to get more of his mushrooms.

We already know who the mystery transfer is, it was first told by Doc Bobcat, then verified by an insider. Whether he arrives or not, we will see. Hopefully, Gary is right about us winning the MAC lol.

Not to get back on track but I don't think anybody answer the question. I don't think we need weightlifters on our team. I'm just asking if you compare the strength of Ohio players with others is it adequate? Basham being in the lower end gives me some indication about one player. I'm just wondering in general if we aren't as big and strong as some other teams. That seems to be the case on the Field at times

Not sure what Ohio's S & C Football looks like, but, click the link, scroll down, review Husker Power Football S & C Development, In Season and Summer Programs. I would be interested in comment from those close to the program as to if Ohio's program is at all like Husker Power.
