Has a chance to become a National Champion.

I'll be honest, when he transferred to Ohio State I thought there was no chance he would actually see meaningful playing time...well, I was wrong. Yes, he's primarily used as a blocker but he's playing nonetheless. Appeared in 10 games and even started in 4.

He actually had 2 catches for 21 yards in the Semifinal game last night vs Texas. On the season he has 8 catches for 86 yards. Not bad considering you're playing with 3 future NFL WRs and are likely just the check down option.

Good for him.

Honestly what a freak he is. I hate this portal era, I am old and crotchety at this point but absolutely good for him. It speaks volumes for the staff at Ohio for finding him out of Missouri. The P4 schools weren’t camped out in his front yard. Think about that TE room. Foster, Kacmarek and Williams. Bad dudes.

I watch a lot of OSU games with my wife, and while he spent some time injured, he has been heavily involved in the run game as a blocker, and seemed to show up more and more as the games got bigger as shown with the targets and yards last night.

I saw that he will be back for another year next year and their TE1 is gone after this year. Will be interesting to see if he can get himself some NFL looks.

Gee Scott has another year. Whether or not he decides to use it…

OSU just signed #1 TE in the portal.

Last season, they signed a 4* TE, one of the top recruits in Ohio, who redshirted this season. And a 3* star from Glenville.

They also signed the #5 TE recruit in the country for next season.

Crowded is an understatement.

Never underestimate a TE that can block like he can.

8 catches for less than 100 yards on the season? Man, standards are pretty low these days. Let's revisit when he hits the portal.

I like our TE just fine, really hope Mason Williams is coming back.

Against Oregon he had 37 of the 57 offensive snaps. He’s playing a lot and producing on the biggest stage in college football. Pretty sure he’s doing just fine, especially when you consider he missed a few games with injury.

If those stats were what he was putting up while still here, would that be just fine? I'm sure he's getting some nice compensation to help offset the lack of stats.

Who knows, maybe he'll enter the draft.

If he’s playing 50+% of snaps. You sound like you think we are TE U. Our leading TE put up a tremendous 19 catches in 14 games. Very close to same averages. 10.75 per catch to 11 per catch. Not sure why you act like he’s buried on the bench. This is not a Jarron Simmons situation, Kacmarek is playing and contributing and more importantly playing in a National Title game. I personally wish him nothing but the best.

I'd say its been a position of strength for our program in recent years. Obviously he's not buried on the bench but he could've been a weapon had he stayed, an opportunity to showcase his pass catching skills.

These kids are professionals now so I don't feel bad for a little banter towards those who decide to leave.

Let it be known I want the bucks to lose this game.

Had some great blocks last night, especially two open field blocks.
