. . . See - positivism. (the correct word) Glass more than half full!! Have a nice day!
Thanks for helping me discover your core philosophy. I could have guessed that you were an adherent to logical positivism, but it's nice to see it from your own hand. ; -)
A form of positivism, developed by members of the Vienna Circle, which considers that the only meaningful philosophical problems are those which can be solved by logical analysis?

Well. I do drive over to that mall in Vienna now and then. That Regal Cinema is pretty nice. I saw Oppenheimer there. Cheddars near the mall has some pretty good grub for a chain.

Your application of sense data seems right on target here! ;-)

...this is the only sports forum I've ever seen that didn't have an "ignore function." It doesn't cost any extra. The mod just has to check the box to make it an option under settings.

Damnit, I forgot to program that ignore function, and this imaginary settings screen for that matter, when I custom wrote all this code like 20 years ago. I'll put it on the list for v1.1. Won't cost anything.

Thanks, got some laughs out of that one! Kind of reminds when a certain opinion show host sent an assistant out on the streets near the 4th of July to ask what we were celebrating on that holiday. Some of the answers were somewhat astounding. When a person was totally stumped the assistant would give them a hint, like "It's also called, Independence Day." And then he'd ask, "Who did we get our Independence from?" Some said, Russia; or Germany, obviously confusing various wars in a vert non-historical way. But, my favorite answer was a young lady, who said France, who was, of course, our biggest ally against the British. These were all people in their 20s or early 30s. Very few knew the correct answer.

No that's not the one I'm talking about, but it's of the same genre.

I'd post a link, but I can't find one.

Nope neither of those was the one I referred to, though one of them did have another idiot that said we fought France for our independence. The one that I originally referred to was not by Jay Leno, but on another network, but as I said was of the same genre. I do appreciate your links to the Leno ones. I got more than a few laughs watching each one. I think I'd seen some of them when they originally aired. Jay was very good at this short of thing.

However, as stated before, this is the only sports forum I've ever seen that didn't have an "ignore function." It doesn't cost any extra. The mod just has to check the box to make it an option under settings. Then if I bother you so much, you can simply put me on the "ignore" setting. [/QUOTE]

I find it hilarious that greencat completely ignored this post. Turns out he knew how to ignore posts without an ignore function all along.
