It is also ok to point out that Kurtis Rourke has never won a big game in his entire career. Convince me I am wrong. Name a big game he won. I can name you several Parker Navarro won. Heck, I can gibe CJ Harris a big win.
I'm not hear to knock anyone, but here are some hard numbers, using the ESPN QBR rating. Note that QBR adjusts for the difficulty of the foe. Reach whatever conclusions you wish:
Rourke:
For the year, Rourke averaged 84.5, #4 in the country
Three worst games: Ohio State=43.0, Michigan=47.7, FIU=48.4
Three best games: Charlotte=98.7, Western Illinois=98.3, UCLA 96.7
Critical games: Ohio State=43.0, ND=63.6
Navarro:
For they year: Navarro averaged 70.5, #37 in the country
Three worst games: Syracuse=16.4, Miami (1st game)=30.0, Morgan State 38.6
Three best games: Miami (MACC)=93.7, Ball State=92.7, Jacksonville St=86.7
Critical games: Miami (1st game)=30.0, Miami (MACC)=93.7
One could argue that all games after the Miami loss were critical.
