Pretty much all you have to do is look at the qb stats for td's, INTs, completion % and there's your 2017 season results.

With the questions marks we have and the guys we lost to graduation and other reasons...the apparent conclusion for the coming season is not in our favor.

Play on the field could prove me well wrong but I'm guessing that Solich and staff have a profound history of not outperforming reasonable expectations.

Now you slam me for being a naysayer. But consider that we went 8-5 and followed that up by 8-6 with the latter being a team with many All-MAC performers.

I guess there is no reason to play the games then. But, they probably will go ahead and play them, and Ohio will probably win the East again, and then face Toledo in the MACC. Of course, based on the stats above, there's no reason to play that game, either, I guess, but they probably will, and we'll see how it goes.

I'll bet you two beers and one highball that redhawk wins the East if their qb stays healthy.

Why don't we play the games to see the surprises and human drama despite your or my punditry. But I'll bet that Vegas puts its money on the best qb a very high % of the time.

What is this "if their QB stays healthy" line?

"NO EXCUSES!!!!" We know how this plays out.

Per Monroe, Miami wins East.

Per allen, "If Brad Ellis is a starting corner back next year, than we will have a losing season." Playing Ellis is "insanity."

Nothing else need be said.

Yes, bcat2, you got the game plan down. Miami is allowed an injury excuse. OHIO is not.

You're right. There isn't much of an argument for better play unless an all conference QB was in the wings. 2017 could likely win more games though as easy as the schedule is. 2016 was going to be Akron's year but they failed. We defeated Toledo last year on the road and this year the games in Peden. Miami game is at home on a weeknight. Easily pull 9, 10, 11 wins next year counting a bowl win and/or MAC.

Uncle Wes, you seem like a nice person.

But the loud voices here will assure that you won't get far on these threads by starting a response to a quote of one of my posts with "You're right."
