Some still might not be correct, #45 Sr?

It's not surprising not to find him, as it lists only players who have already reported. Thus, no one who is expected in the fall is listed.

There are plenty errors, though. It appears that they just rolled the class automatically. Thus anyone that redshirted was moved up to the next class anyway (note, there are no Redshirt Freshmen at all on that roster). Also, players who arrived in the Spring were also rolled, which they should not have been. Thus, Cherry is listed as a Sophomore, and Rourke is listed as a Junior.

LC - after all of this time it would be reasonable to expect we would get an accurate roster posted.
Not sure where you got the term "rolled" the classes. Like some kind of Excel spreadsheet maneuver? Your tolerance for sloppy work by the SID is very admirable.

I didn't say I found it acceptable. I thought it was extremely sloppy. I just explained what they did. Yes, it looks like some sort of Excel manipulation was done, a global search and replace. Delete all Seniors, change "Jr" to "Sr", and so on, then don't have anyone check it, and stick it up live.

At this point I don't see any reason to complain because it won't do any good. Some years the roster updates are better, and some they are worse. Thus is a year when they are worse.

You are correct. "complaining won't get you anywhere".

I note that David Burroughs still isn't on the roster, so besides not having the classes correct, it is would also seem to be incomplete, unless Burroughs joined the team only for a scrimmage, and then left again. I don't find it objectionable to not have the players listed who haven't reported yet, but I do think they should find a way to list all the players who actually were at Spring practice, and to list them correctly.

Caught by someone. Lots of fixes, much better. Were I to guess, probably C. Rodgers, DFO. Check it now.

Accepting it as the official roster, I see the following players are deleted:

David Burroughs RB, walkon
Brennen Dudziak OT
Deeb Haber QB, walkon
Joe Muench WR, walkon
Robbie Fusner LB, walkon

I also see that numerous position changes have been recorded, such as Trotter, Davis, and Kuhar to OL, and Wears and VU to RB from WR and CB respectively, and Tupa from Safety to WR.

Class status has also been updated. I note that the Leuhrman twins now both show as R-Fr, which matches their status as grayshirts. I was surprised to see Tupa as a R-Fr, since he played last year, but apparently he must have been hurt during the season. That leaves Popp and DL Knock as the only true Freshmen that moved to True Sophomore status.

Also, as is to be expected, players expected this fall won't be added to the roster until they report.

By my count, this leaves Ohio at only 83 scholarships for this year, less any no-shows this fall. That could mean a late class addition, or they could go to deserving walkons. Possibilities include Seniors Marhefka, Helton, or Grillot, or Sophomore Chuckwu, as well as the Leuhrman twins, if they are going to play a substantial role this fall.

I'm saying there is room. I have no idea if there will be any late additions. I can think of three late additions, over the years. Those were Matt Donahue, Blair Brown, and Addrell Taylor. The first one was outstanding, but transferred, and the last one had off-the field issues and never played.

Marhefka and Helton were already upgraded to scholarship. Tupa received a redshirt because he contracted mono after only playing in a few games.

Well, never mind, then. LOL

That puts Ohio back at 85 by my count.
