I actually wasn't concerned about the posts attacking him and his father, for the reasons you mention. However, someone laying out a case that quarterbacks never progress at Ohio would be more of a concern to him, I would think. I thought at the time, and I still think, that the analysis was flawed because most of the data referred to the work of Gdowski as quarterback coach, and he's no longer at Ohio. I think the data is incomplete on Isphording, but that the early data looks promising.

When the guy is paying to train in Arizona over the winter, chances are he isn't going to a MAC school to play in the fall and try to go pro. If Fleck were still at WMU and they were still loaded like they were last year, I would say maybe. But without the definitive powerhouse team in the MAC there isn't an attractive enough school, no matter how close to home, to bring in a QB with the head the size of Zaire. He's a great athlete. He may start at Florida. But the chances he gets drafted before round 6 next year are slim to none.
Again, I don't think any of us knows for sure what his best path would have been. I think it's almost certain that he won't get drafted if he doesn't start somewhere. I also know that quarterbacks do occasionally get drafted from the MAC, so to me, he would have had a better chance of getting drafted as a MAC starter than he would have had as a backup at Florida or Texas.
I do think that he made a very poor choice when he decided to leave Notre Dame in the first place. He would almost certainly have been the starter there this fall, if he had stayed, and that would have been his best shot at being drafted by far.
