"Coach, you're starting your 13th season. You've generally done a good job in building the program. But you haven't brought home a MAC title, haven't had a season of less than four losses and gone 29-23 over the last four years. What will you change in order to have a better season and to bring home a MAC title?"

Good Caravan. Frank talks some about camps in this one. Offsite camps are for all intents done with but he still sent staff to Ohio State and Cincinnati's camp. Also had a presence at Florida's and Miami Florida's camp explains why we recruited the Sunshine State so well last year. He mentioned a needed improvement in the offensive line to put more points on the board (not settle for 3's).

I dont know who the guy was that challenged Frank to a push up contest but I really want to see that. That would get Frank on Sportscenter.

At the Caravan last night, Frank mentioned a late add to the 2017 Signing Class. Thought he said Florida kid that was at military academy.

I wish Chillicothe were still a part of the caravan. I get that we're not exactly a city but our relative proximity to Athens and having a branch campus, thus a Bobcat radio station, makes us a pretty good market for Bobcat Football. I always enjoyed chatting with Frank and the staff along with fellow Bobcat Fans at venues like Buffalo Wild Wings and The Dock at Water. I'd argue that not only Chillicothe, but every city with an OU Branch and thus an affiliate of the Bobcats' Radio Network should be on the Caravan.

I agree that all branch cities should be targeted.

I like the idea. It's something worth sending a note to the Bobcat Club with the suggestion.

If you missed it Frank says he's going to run a 300 pound DL in short yardage situations to make up for lack of a true power back. Can't tell if he's joking.

I don't believe he is joking.

BTW, I've never seen Frank so positive before a season. He's usually an optimist, and I like that in him. However, at the recent Athens Caravan stop he talked as though he had finally laid the groundwork and that it was now time to win multiple MACCs and have a top 25 finish. He indicated that the last few recruiting classes had been getting better and better. He wasn't boasting. He just seemed confident and ready to take on new challenges. He didn't look like a man anywhere close to considering retirement. He certainly didn't talk like if he won a MACC he would immediately retire. He sounded like he wanted multiple MACCs and multiple top 25 finishes before he faded off into the sunset. I wouldn't bet against him getting those either.

Another thing I found interesting is that he talked about the facilities improvements as though they were not only essentially for OHIO's continued improvment on the field but also as though he had personally had some responsibility for them. This was said in a subtle way, but it seemed to me obvious that that was his meaning. Left me wondering if he had personally been involved in the fund raising efforts for the MPF and the Sook Center, or if maybe he had made anonymous gifts to some of these projects out of his own pocket.
