Rumor is that Chad Moore may have a hernia. If so, he could be out 8-12 weeks. I hope he's alright.
If he can't go, we may see a redshirt freshman in Conner start. Or we could see Evan at Sam, and Cody at Will.

Conner/Crouch/Poling could definitely deliver some major hits.

Assuming the rumor is true wishing #38 a speedy recovery. That will certainly shake up the LB depth.

Solich confirmed today that Maleek Irons will not play in 2017.

Was this already a known thing? Sorry if this has been discussed before in another thread.

Not widely discussed but expected, I think. His legal issues meant a mandatory 1 year leave of absence per university policy, IIRC.

Hopefully OUellette is good to go, because otherwise it's just Dorian Brown and a true freshman....

The Irons situation was discussed here on the recruiting board. Kind of an easy place to overlook: http://www.bobcatattack.com/messageboard/topic.asp?FromPa...

It was known, not a surprise.

Why don't we have more RB's, especially after last years debacle there?? Someone has to be converting positions or we're playing with fire.

I believe Oulette is good to go. I think the real question is who sees the majority of the snaps? We know Oulette is hands down the hardest working guy on the team, but when Brown had the chance, he shined. I would love to see Albin get both of these guys as many touches as possible. Maybe incorporate some packages with a split gun with both of them on Maxwells sides. Less than 40 days until kickoff. I am quickly becoming impatient

There are 2 1/2 really good ones available: Ouellete, Brown and White. Plus true freshmen Julian Ross and Jake Neatherton. Also two other walk-on redshirt sophomores on the roster, Dylan Wears and Andrew Vu.

Is Vinny Emanuele still on the team? I thought he played decent last year until he got hurt. My question is would Brown or AJ be able to break free as the feature back? Or if the RB position will be ran in a platoon system again.

Dorian has a long career ahead of him writing code...keep the reps to a minimum.

Brown is our most explosive back, he needs to get a lot of reps. I am sure that he would like to play in the NFL. Let the best players play. I am sure that more than coding went into the previous statement.

Unfortunately Vinny is no longer playing due to concussion issues. I was looking forward to seeing more of him also. I always feel bad for the athletes that can't continue due to injury.

Both in a two-back set. It's time.
