Apparently those that said there would not be craft beer sold at Peden were mistaken.

If the article is accurate,Jackie O's will be selling draft beer.
The others will be cans.

You can move cans a lot faster then you can pour drafts.
So I guess the "big boys" don't think a couple of Jackie O's taps will cut into their sales much.

Would love to know what the profit per beer will be for the university. Any F&B folks out there who might know?

Agreed, it will be interesting to see how this shakes out financially at the end of the year. At this price point there seems to be margin there to cover what I'm sure are a lot of hidden costs beyond the product cost like extra security, new equipment, more workers, etc. I'm sure it's a plus, but just how much of one is an important piece of information. Let's hope they stock this better than bottled water when it's hot, or hot cocoa when it's cold! I look forward to having a cold one in Peden Sept 16th.

Still needs state approval.

I only was able to watch practice. The scrimmage wasn't until 10:30 and I had to get back to work. Our receivers do look big. QB's not bad, some under thrown balls. Nice to see decent size there too. Arp looks huge on the DL. DB's look big and aggressive too.

#45 looked quick and shifty. That was very nice to see, hoping for a healthy year for him.

"There is no place for beer at college football games"

Well this person can take their candy @$$ back to Rio Grande where the county is dry and the mouths are parched.

Maybe they just strongly prefer liquor?

Based on the past troubles getting those two items stocked and sold, I'd keep my expectations low for that first game or two of beer in the stadium. Then again, it could be done better, who knows?

My guess is that it will be with the beer stands being separate from the concession stands. I'd locate them outside of the tunnel on either end of the home side. Beer and water would all that would be served from those stands.

In the tower club, I'm sure our accommodations won't change. Or they hilariously will.

Makes sense to me. I expect there will be a wristband/ID system in place and separate stands for the alcohol, although they may also sell water and soft drinks, too. There will be special training for those serving to help with liability issues and aren't the booths underneath staffed by area school/other groups which means some of the workers are under the minimum serving age.

On a side note, hopefully this will make the crowd a little louder.

Is there a cutoff time when beer sales will end like in baseball. I assume probably sometime 3rd quarter?

To me, logically, it would end at the end of the 3rd quarter. That is what is done at Nippert Stadium for UC games, and I think BG games.
