Casey Sayles had another spectacular game. He had 2 solo tackles for losses and one pass deflection. He may have earned his spot tonight.He is doing great.

This week the roster gets cut to 75 on Wednesday. With his stats, I like Sayles chance on this cut. Brown and Basham, as draft choices, should make it by this cut as well. Then on Sunday the final cuts are made, and then the practice squads are formed Monday afternoon.

Right you are. I must have been looking at last year's calendar. This year there is just one massive cut by 4pm ET September 2. Then after players clear waivers at noon the following day, the practice squads will be announced.

Casey had two tackles to finish up the preseason. With Aaron Donald holding out, he has a chance to stick, if not, he will probably be picked up by someone else. He can play any line position and his awareness and football instincts are great. The team drafted Tanzel Smart in the 6th round and he was higher on the depth chart because of it, but Casey was much more productive than Smart. Close one, let's pray for him.
