Since several of our posters have made multiple mentions of beer, it would be interesting to see how much was actually consumed. If you attended the game, check the box on how many you purchased for personal consumption inside Peden yesterday.

I literally purchased a beer on principle. I had no interest in another drink but wanted to support the cause.

I don't usually sit in a cool downpour with a can of beer. I'm sure I'll catch up to the averages by the end of the season.

Just wondering if it seemed to be busy at the beer line?

So since the weather was cool and damp.....

How did coffee and hot chocolate reserves hold up?

For me the optimal temperature is absolutely cooler. Especially when there's snow on the ground because it saves room in my fridge. If I'm outside and it's colder than Winterfell normally a few beers makes me feel like I'm wearing a fancy wool coat. I'm unsure where some of these "drinkers" are from, but it certainly doesn't sound like they hail from Athens, Ohio.

They ran out of Jackie O's at both of the Tower stations. Art, the owner, was overseeing their tent under the corner bleachers and said demand had outstripped supply on Razz Wheat. They also had run out of the free coozies they were supplying with beer orders. I saw a lot of people choking down Bud Light and Coors. Given that it was a bit chilly and very underpopulated, I'd say this experiment is looking successful so far (as measured by its money-making potential).

Just checking. Depending on your beer preferences, and what's available, the cool rainy day could be good for an imperial stout or porter. Since all I saw was canned beer on Saturday, unlikely they'll have anything like that. I was hoping to see some Java The Stout at some point for football season, although Chomo would be good on a cool fall day as well.
