Purdue Gameday Guide

Bobcat Bash

Join your fellow OHIO alumni and friends as we Stand Up and Cheer when the Bobcats travel to West Lafayette, IN for a Friday night tussle with the Purdue Boilermakers! The cost is $20 for attendees ages 13 and older, $10 for children ages 5-12, and free for children ages 4 and under.

The Bobcat Bash will be held in Purdue's 'Tent City', which is located on the Rankin Track & Field Complex. It is approximately 5-10 minutes walking distance to Ross-Ade Stadium. Please visit this page regularly as we will be adding a menu, map/directions to the tailgate, and more!

A large group of us will be going - probably around 15 people.

Plan is currently to get to West Lafayette in the afternoon and head to Harry's Chocolate Shop at around 5 for dinner and drinks. It is a Purdue legend so looking forward to the shenanigans there.

Hope to see many of you there.

Disappointing that the Marching 110 are not attending. Big mistake in my opinion.

I really doubt it was an Ohio Athletics decision. It's really up to the home team whether a visiting band will be accommodated.

Purdue already knows it's going to be outplayed by Ohio's football team. They didn't want the same thing to happen to their band. 😉

haha. That's a good choice. Got to buy the T shirt. At 5 pm you should avoid the rush to "Go Ugly Early" ...easy to do in West Laffy....lots of candidates.

I may grab the bike and go over just for the pre game festivities. About 2 hours and change on Indiana Backroads.

I am in.

Triple X Family Restaurant in West Lafayette is one I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a local spot for lunch. Was over there for business last week and has great food and root beer. Definitely one the locals recommend to me there.

I know the name sounds dirty, but that's the name of the root beer as well.

In plus 2. Is anyone planning to tailgate? Is there a recommended lot where the visitors should meet?

Normally the 110's budget includes 1 "major" trip.

This year they're in the Macy's Parade.
That's a pretty hefty cost.
That may have something to do with it.

Speaking of the Macy's Parade, and being totally selfish.
If anyone from the 110 reads this, how about a Varsity Show for the loyal Bobcats in the NY/NJ area.
There a number of high school bands out here that would get a kick out of seeing you.

It's like a mile away or so.

I hope to get there by 5 and leave by 7. Hopefully find a tailgate as we walk in.

Ended up here on business and figured what the hell....stay the extra night Randy.
Holiday Inn city center.
Section 105 for the game

And if anyone had a bail for the bash let me know and I'll buy it from you.

Or if ya might have a tailgate lined up and a few barley pops to sell I'd love to hang with you for a while.

Highly suggest walking through the COnvo's little brother Mackey and see how much nicer OUrs is than theirs...scoreboards notwithstanding (it takes a Purdue Engineer to hang one) the seating, concourse, locker rooms, arena entrance and most facets of the Convo are better.
