They already have a "Basham" jersey for sale at the Official Colt's Site. It would certainly be fun to see this kid shine. I suspect that "catching up" is always the case in the Pros, until you can retire and look back on what you have either accomplished or not accomplished over the length of a career.

Isn't this dilema that 90% of rookies face? The NFL is difficult more difficult than whatever school you went to or conference you played in. Take into consideration he never played with his hand off the ground or was asked to cover and work in space and I'm sure he is behind in a 3-4 base defense. Who wouldn't be?

Very true, it is a huge adjustment. I was just trying to give a real-time update.

Allen,
I was referencing the article. I felt like it made the MAC out to be a JR High Parochial League and that Basham was suffering because he played there vs being like most rookies who struggle adjusting to the NFL.

Some said he couldn't make it. Others said he wouldn't fit a 3-4 defense.

Echo heard from the West Coast Elites: Fake News! This just can't be true. The Oracle of Oxnard has told us that this man isn't fit to lace up the shoes of a true NFL player. Doesn't pass the eye test. Please check your sources more closely, Ted. ;-)

Basham is playing tonight, it looks like Jo Jo Natson from Akrom may make the Colts 53 man roster.

Basham's productivity has tailed off. He made one tackle on special teams, he need to pick up his position prett quick, if he wants to get into the rotation.

There were rumors going around earlier this week that Basham had fell out of the rotation. Basham started tonight as the Colts rested three of their starters. He had three tackles and his unit pitched a shutout.
