Not the best quote from Solich on the Athletics website:

"Both of our quarterbacks are capable of throwing the game...."

What a difference misplacing a "the" makes.

Do you think Frank actually said that, or did the reporter, perhaps, miss a little word like "in." I wonder if Frank said, "Both of our quarterbacks are capable of throwing, in the game." That has a little different meaning. Now, on the other hand, Frank was raised in Cleveland, and they don't exactly speak standard English up there on Ohio's North Coast. ;-)

I hope not...in a different sense. I hope we don't continue throughout the season with two quarterbacks. Frank has to be the decision-maker, and he seems to be afraid to do so. It seems evident to all that Rourke is the guy. Lets get him as many reps as possible tomorrow rather than to split those reps. He needs to build chemistry with his O-Line, his receivers, and his backs. Please don't go with a rotation.

Based on the title, I fully expected to click this thread and read about how Poling might be done for the year.

My guess is that Solich said, or at least meant to say, that the QBs are capable of the throwing game, because he said "and running" right after that.

I have to admit, I read this to myself and laughed in my head. Do I have the maturity of a 5 year old? Yes. Will I ever change? Doubtful.

As always, GO CATS!!!

This was a photoshop of the October 2010 issue of "Tails", and isn't real, but it's still funny. (The original had commas after "cooking" and "family")
