OT in Mt. Pleasant. URI has 6 turnovers, CMU 4.

URI misses FG that would have won the game in 2nd OT.

That had to be a painful game to be at.

Cooper Rush threw all but something like three passes for CMU last year, and as I recall none of this year's QBs threw any passes during games last year. That's why I think CMU will finish last in the West and we have a very good shot at beating them.

Except they have mostly everyone back and a Michigan transfer in Shane Morris at QB, who a bunch of people on this board wanted very badly. They'll be fine and they'll threaten in the West.

For that matter, I'm not sure why everyone is so quick to write off Eastern Michigan as a fluke last year. They've got a ton of experience coming back, momentum from bowl season and Roback is gonna be the full time QB for the whole season barring injury.

The West will be just as good as it ever has.

Given the Bobcats' record against the West top to bottom nothing is a given for this team.

Eastern used to be a pretty surefire win. Wasn't the case last year. CMU has Frank's number.

Zervos had a hamstring injury, or something, this fall, I think. I wonder if he'll be off a few weeks?

Of course he did. As a Bobcat football fan, I wouldn't expect anything less.

Kent should have just saved the money and not bothered flying out their wide outs or the recivers coach.

Pretty poor comparison when considering who teams in the East have played compared to the teams in the West have played. Obviously the West is the better division but trying to compare them based on points scored doesn't make sense

Marshall scored three non-offensive touchdowns to beat Miami, including two kickoff returns by the same guy.

Life might not get any easier for Kent. They have 1-AA Howard this week. Howard was a 48-pt underdog to UNLV and won last night, 43-40.

And, Howard is our opening game next year. We'd better be ready for the mighty Bisons!
