I will be there plus 1.

If any of you are looking for something to do before or after the game, we have a golf simulator shop up in Ann Arbor for those looking to play a round of golf. Let me know if there is any interest in doing so and we can open it up for you.

In +1. This one is about 10 minutes from my house. I've had it circled on my calendar for a while. If you are coming to town for the game, check out nearby depot town in ypsi. There are a few cool little spots to grab food and beer.

On the fence about this one, we'll be about 90 minutes west of Ypsi this weekend. Probably depends how well the fish are biting.

Stick with the fish - not too many of those weekends left. On the other hand, consider the trip to K-Zoo in February for hoops when the lake is frozen.

Toying with the idea of driving up to the game Saturday. My eldest Bobcat (alum) lives in Ann Arbor. Would be some good father/son time. It looks like one entire side of the stadium is for the visiting team. Anyone been up to EMU who can verify?

Yep. Bobcats have been nearly the only ones on the visitors sidelines the times we've been there. They've got a nice BB+FB complex (joined together), and don't seem to have any fans to fill them.

Funny story, a few years ago they used to sell family coupon-packs of tickets, 10 ticket for $30. The tickets don't have any particular game on them, only gate entry, because they have no worries of selling out and having too many people redeem on a certain game. Worked out for us and some other Bobcat fans.

And of all of the times (3/4) I've been there for either hoops or FB, I don't think they even have ever had anyone there to take parking $. It's been a few years and they weren't breaking cinder-block walls with sledgehammers when I used to go, so maybe things are different now. But I'm not guessing too much has changed.

The stadium is very nice, and appears to seat about 30,000, and their typical attendance was about 4,000, in years past, at least. That means you can sit anywhere you like, and yes, one whole side was for visitors. A guard told me that there was more than enough free, close parking to go around, but if attendance ever got over 8,000 it might be full, but that had never happened. I guess they have a large commuter student base, so there aren't a lot of students around on weekends to go to games.

When we went to the basketball game last year, there was no charge for parking.

I've lived up here for about a year now. It doesn't seem that anyone cares much at all about the sporting programs. As mentioned, EMU is largely a commuter school. Add that on top of the fact that they are overshadowed by U of M which is maybe 5 miles away.

I miss Tim Burke every time we went to Ypsi reminding us of the phallic water tower.
